Wow y’all! I feel like just a few days ago I was sharing my April favorites and astonished at how quickly that month went by! Now here I am at the end of May wondering how this month flew by so quickly too! I’m not complaining though, because it means summer is here, and we’re one month closer to football season. Today I am sharing a few miscellaneous things that I am loving this month!

The Wet Brush
I can’t remember exactly where I first heard about the Wet Brush, but I decided I wanted to try it out. I originally planned on buying it at Ulta, but when I saw it at Target a few weeks ago I decided to save myself the extra trip. The bristles are more flexible and glide through your hair with more ease and less breakage. I absolutely love my new Wet Brush and highly recommend it, especially if you have really long hair like me. Long hair is fun, the tangles not so much! They also make a Wet Brush for thick hair, but my hair is normal thickness so I stuck with the standard one. Also, the Wet Brush comes in multiple colors. How fun is that? You can also buy online here.
Mickey Mouse for Target
A plethora of Mickey Mouse merchandise has made its way to Target. It definitely takes self-control every time I’m in there to avoid buying it all. Junk Food Clothing Company has multiple clothing and accessories with Mickey Mouse & friends available. I couldn’t resist picking up this adorable Mickey tee, and this five pack of mini buttons from Junk Food. I bought the t-shirt oversized for sleepwear. It is super soft, comfortable, and well made. I haven’t quite decided yet what I am going to do with the buttons, but they were super inexpensive and at least will make great collector’s items.

In addition to the Junk Food items, I couldn’t resist picking up these Mickey Mouse Jelly Belly jelly beans. Seriously, how cute are they?!
Also, I picked up this Minnie Mouse stainless steel water bottle. It is great for taking down to the pool or beach. It’s easy to transport and is spill proof. And I don’t want to get sunscreen all over or risk misplacing my Lilly for Starbucks S’well bottle, so this Minnie bottle work great. I tried it out at the beach over Memorial Day weekend, and it kept my water cold for at least several hours. There were even still ice cubes in it when I got back to the beach house in the evening.

Fresh-Picked Strawberries with Angel Food Cake
My favorite strawberry patch in Durham finally opened up in May, and I got to enjoy some fresh-picked strawberries my favorite way-with angel food cake and Cool Whip. I will post more details about my 2018 strawberry picking excursions soon, but for now you can check out my previous post spotlighting Waller Family Farm in Durham. I’m also hoping to make it out to pick some more strawberries at least once before the season ends!
The Royal Wedding
I really don’t think I need to elaborate much further on this one! I shamelessly got up early on a Saturday morning so that I could watch Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s wedding live. It did not disappoint! Although I definitely liked Kate Middleton’s wedding dress from 2011 better, Meghan Markle still looked absolutely gorgeous. The homily had a lot of spiritual depth to it and I loved that the bishop talked about Jesus loving us so much that He died to save us! Also, how romantic was the carriage ride after the ceremony?! Finally, the little page boys and bridesmaids absolutely stole the show! Princess Charlotte is too precious for words!
Memorial Day Weekend at the Beach
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I spent Memorial Day weekend in Emerald Isle, NC. This was my first beach trip since Labor Day 2017, and it did not disappoint. I was thankful the rain held off until Monday, so I got to enjoy some good beach time on Saturday and Sunday. I also enjoyed some of my favorite beach traditions like morning latte runs and a Dairy Queen Blizzard.
Edy’s Birthday Cake Ice Cream
I love birthday cake flavored ice cream, so when I saw that Edy’s had a limited edition birthday cake flavor at Target, I had to pick it up! It’s also one of Edy’s “light” ice creams, but it tastes so good you wouldn’t automatically guess that. (This is honestly the case with all of Edy’s light ice cream flavors.)
Alphabet Magnets at Target
Seriously, it doesn’t take much to entertain me! I couldn’t resist throwing these alphabet magnets in my cart at Target a couple weeks ago. Target is really on a roll these days! I’m looking forward to playing around with them on my fridge. What can I say, I’m a kid at heart!

New Kendra Scott Baubles
I wrote a post about this already, but Kendra Scott’s gift with purchase promo earlier this month was so amazing I had to mention it again. I’m loving my new Elisa Pendant and Elle Earrings, and the Delaney Pendant I got for free with purchase. (Click here to read more about my favorites from Kendra Scott.)
Encouraging Others
The month of May also brought my most rewarding blog post to date! I was so incredibly overwhelmed and humbled by all the positive feedback I got on my Advice to College Graduates post earlier this month. As much as I love sharing my favorite outfits and providing styling inspiration, it brings me even greater joy when God uses me to encourage others through sharing my faith and what He has taught or is currently teaching me!
Hope y’all enjoyed this post and that it’s inspired you to try some of these things! Let me know what y’all have been loving lately!
