Hey ya’ll and happy Friday! It’s always extra nice when Friday kicks off a long weekend, and I’m excited that my weekend started a bit early. I arrived at the beach last night, and it’s been amazing so far. Anyways, today I’m sharing a little bit about the latest Beautycounter products I’m loving. I want to keep y’all in the loop regarding my latest Beautycounter obsessions as I continue to try new things. In addition, Beautycounter is having a gift with purchase promo this weekend (through May 28). Every order of $125 or more gets a free 1 oz Countersun Mineral sunscreen lotion AND a free 3 oz Countersun Mineral Sunscreen spray. These will be great to have on hand for travel this summer, and are also super easy to throw in your bag to make sure you have sun protection on the go!
Anyways, here’s a look at some of the latest Beautycounter products I’ve tried! Note that I’m a Beautycounter consultant and will earn a commission if you decide to shop through my Beautycounter personal website. However, I genuinely love these products. I also wholeheartedly support Beautycounter’s mission to get safe products in the hands of everyone. Read more about Beautycounter’s mission in this post.
Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream
I’ve recently started applying one pump of this Beautycounter Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream in the morning after cleansing and before my SPF tinted moisturizer. I’m seriously blown away at how well it works with controlling oil during the day. Although my face isn’t 100% shine-free, I can go all day without blotting or using powder. There aren’t pools of grease sitting on my face, and I can definitely tell a difference from before. If you have oily skin, I highly recommend this. In addition to controlling oil, it also hydrates. Shop the Matte Effect Gel Cream here.
I took this selfie last night at 11:45pm, after a full day at work, finishing packing, loading my car, and driving to the beach. I didn’t blot my face at all during the day, and it was still relatively shine-free after 15 hours of wear during an 85+ degree North Carolina day!
Countercountrol SOS Acne Spot Treatment
I fortunately don’t have issues with consistent acne all over my face. However, I do get isolated pimples here and there. The Beautycounter Countercontrol SOS Acne Spot Treatment is perfect for applying to those pesky pumps. It helps dry up blemishes, and it’s definitely a step above drugstore acne spot treatments I’ve tried. In addition, I have the piece of mind knowing it’s free from harmful or questionable ingredients. Shop the Countercontrol SOS Acne Spot Treatment here.
Color Intense Lipstick in “First Date”
Lipstick is the one Beautycounter product that has unexpectedly blown me away. Prior to becoming a Beautycounter consultant, I either bought drugstore brand lipstick, or used the Estee Lauder or Clinique ones my mom got as gift with purchase and didn’t want. I didn’t really give much thought to selecting lipstick shades, and determining what outfits they would look great with. However, Beautycounter has changed all of that. A tube of the Color Intense Lipstick came in my consultant enrollment kit, and I feel in love with the smooth application and minty taste after one swipe.
Since I loved the lipstick that came in my consultant kit so much, I have ordered a few additional shades of the Color Intense Lipstick. The latest color I’ve tried is “First Date,” and it’s perfect for summer! It will look great with all my Lilly. Beautycounter’s website describes “First Date” as a “rosy pink,” but it actually has a touch of coral in it once you put it on. Here’s how “First Date” looks on me:

Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream
I recently switched from Beautycounter’s basic nourishing eye cream to this Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream in order to target my dark undereye circles more. I’ve only been using it for about a week, so haven’t been using long enough to see a substantial reduction in my dark circles yet. But I like how it feels on my skin, and the tube is so pretty too! I’m looking forward to seeing how the appearance of dark undereye circles improves after continued use. It’s important to remember that you aren’t going to see magical instant results with a lot of new skincare products, but consistent daily use makes a difference over time. Shop Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream here.
Rejuvenating Night Cream
This Beautycounter Rejunvenating Night Cream is the new final step in my nighttime skincare routine. This nighttime moisturizer is filled with anti-aging ingredients, but without any of the potential carcinogens or hormone disrupters found in some anti-aging products. It feels refreshing on my skin, and absorbs quickly. Shop the Rejunvenating Night Cream here.
Satin Powder Blush
I used my new Beautycounter Satin Powder Blush in “Melon” for the first time last week, and I’m so impressed! This is actually the first non-drugstore blush I’ve ever used, and it’s definitely worth paying a little more. Just a couple swipes of a blush brush in the compact for each cheek goes on a long way. It also goes on smoothly, and holds up pretty well throughout the day, even without makeup setting spray. Also, how precious is this compact? I love how it says “no secrets added,” which is a nod to Beautycounter’s transparency in disclosing ALL ingredients in their products. Shop Satin Powder Blush here. There are seven different shades to choose from.
Sheer Lipstick in Petal
My latest Beautycounter order included the Sheer Lipstick in “Petal.” The Sheer formula differs from the Color Intense formula in that it is less pigmented. It also has a vanilla scent and flavor rather than peppermint. After trying one Sheer Lipstick, I will definitely be ordering more. This is a good option for when you want a touch of color on your lips, but don’t want to go quite as bold. In addition, I feel like the Sheer lipstick formula is more moisturizing. I know I will continue to order and wear both Color Intense and Sheer lipsticks though. They both have great things about them, and suit different needs. The “Petal” color goes on lighter than it looks in the tube in the above picture.
The picture below gives you an idea of how the “Petal” Sheer Lipstick looks on. I will update this post when I have a better picture. Shop all 10 Sheer Lipstick shades here.
Lip Conditioner
The final Beautycounter product I’m highlighting today is the Lip Conditioner in Peppermint. I love how refreshing the peppermint scent feels on my lips. I’ve been putting a swipe of this on my lips before bed each night and love it! Shop the peppermint lip conditioner here.
