Hey there-hope y’all are having a good week. I’m thankful that I’m feeling less overwhelmed than I did last week. My bestie is coming for a girl’s weekend, so I’m looking forward to that. Speaking of this weekend-it’s almost time for Super Bowl Sunday! I’m not anywhere near as into the NFL as I am college football! This is probably a good thing for my nerves and mental health! However, I always enjoy Super Bowl Sunday as a social event to hang out, eat good food, and watch commercials and the halftime show. So, today I want to share a recipe for a delicious Super Bowl party snack-savory pretzels. Honestly, these are a great snack to make anytime. But if you’re headed to a Super Bowl party this weekend and still don’t know what to take, I highly recommend these. You only need five ingredients, and no baking is required!
I got this amazing recipe from my friend Amelia, who also happens to take some of my blog photos occasionally. Check out her Amelia Cassar Photography website and Instagram, and hit her up if you’re in the Raleigh/Durham area and need a photographer.
Savory Pretzel Ingredients
- One bag of small pretzels (preferable the Snyder’s Square Snaps)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 packet powdered ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dry dill weed
Directions
1. Pour the entire bag of pretzels into a large bowl (or two smaller bowls if you don’t have a bowl big enough to allow room for stirring.
2. Whisk the olive oil, ranch dressing powder, garlic powder, and dry dill weed together in a separate cup.
3. Pour the olive oil mixture over the pretzels. (If you’re using two bowls, pour half the mixture into each bowl).
4. Stir every 10 minutes for about an hour, or until they stop being shiny.
And there you have it- so easy! Even though they require an hour of prep time, you can easily set a 10-minute timer while you’re watching Netflix to remind you to stir. Also, I love that clean up is easy. I use mixing bowls that I can put into the dishwasher, so all I need to wash is the spatula and measuring spoon.
Super Bowl Ready
I actually plan on mixing up another batch of these pretzels to take to a Super Bowl party on Sunday night. Although I’m not into the NFL as much, the Houston Texans are still my favorite team, since their quarterback is former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. So I’m really wishing the Texans didn’t blow a 21-0 lead against the Chiefs a few weeks ago and were playing on Sunday. However, I’m still pulling for the Kansas City Chiefs because in the Super Bowl because one of their players, Sammy Watkins, is actually a former Clemson Tiger as well!
I hope this post helped y’all out if you’re still trying to figure out your Super Bowl Sunday spread! If you make these savory pretzels, please let me know what you think! What are your plans for Super Bowl Sunday, and who are you cheering for?

Yum!! I totally want to try these soon! I’ll be asleep for a lot of the Super Bowl because of my job, but I plan to stay up until the Halftime Show!
