Hey ya’ll, and hope you’re having a good week. It’s been awhile since I’ve done a true fashion post, so today I’m sharing my seven summer wardrobe staples. Sidenote- a couple days ago on Instagram, I asked if y’all prefer fashion or lifestyle posts from me. Lifestyle had a slight edge, with 54% of responses preferring lifestyle, versus 46% preferring fashion. The good news is that no matter which you prefer, I will continue to post both fashion and lifestyle here on the blog as well as on Instagram. I just realized that as I’ve been brainstorming posts lately, a lot of them are more lifestyle oriented. Therefore, I wanted to make sure that y’all would enjoy those in addition to fashion. However, fashion posts aren’t going anywhere, because my love for classic preppy fashion is a big part of my lifestyle. So without further ado, here are seven summer wardrobe staples I have on constant repeat during the hot weather months!
Since I spend a lot of time at the pool or beach during summer, a bathing suit is definitely one of my summer wardrobe essentials. However, for the purposes of this post, I’m focusing on things I wear when I’m not laying out by the water.

1. Jack Rogers Sandals
Jack Rogers sandals are my go-to shoes during the summer months. I love the timelessness and versatile of my Jacks. The classic Palm Beach whipstitched style Jacks pair well with a sundress at church, brunch, a bridal shower, or dinner out. On the other hand, they also look fabulous with an oversized t-shirt and pair of shorts while running errands or grabbing coffee. Wearing my Jacks this summer is even more fun because I have the honor of being a Jack Rogers brand ambassador. You can shop all Jack Rogers here.
2. Printed Lilly Pulitzer Shift Dress

A printed Lilly Pulitzer shift dress has been part of my summer wardrobe staples for years now. This classic is appropriate for so many occasions. I’m thankful that I can wear Lilly shifts to work, because they are so easy to pull on when I’m getting ready in the mornings. A Lilly Pulitzer shift dress is also one of my go-tos for church, summer parties, and dinner dates with friends (especially at the beach).
You can shop all Lilly Pulitzer printed shift dresses here. For more pictures of how I style a printed Lilly shift, check out this post and this post.
3. Printed Lilly Pulitzer Shorts
When I want to go a bit more casual, I opt for my printed Lilly Pulitzer shorts. Pair them with a solid top, and voila- you’ve got the perfect ensemble for a baseball game, casual get-together, or fun day-trip. I really like both the basic Callahan style Lilly shorts, and the buttercup style with scallops. Shop all Lilly shorts here.
4. Seersucker Dress
As soon as Easter rolls around each year, I pull out my seersucker dresses, and continue to wear them all summer long. I have one classic pink-striped seersucker dress from Lilly Pulitzer, which I’ve had for seven years. I’ve worn this dress more times than I can count over the years-to church, dinners out, and showers. You can shop a currently available Lilly seersucker dress here.

In addition, I have several solid seersucker dresses from Lauren James. The solid seersucker makes it a bit dressier, so my Lauren James solid seersucker dresses are a go-to for summer weddings. You can shop all Lauren James seersucker here. I particularly love this dress, and this dress. PS. You can save 15% off anything Lauren James with code PINEAPPLE15. Check out more pictures of how I styled a Lauren James seersucker dress here.
5. Oversized Pocket Tee
An oversized pocket tee is my top go-to outfit for running errands, grabbing coffee, or relaxing around the house in the summer. I especially love wearing one during my morning coffee run at the beach. For more pictures on how I styled an oversized pocket tee, check out this post.
6. Tory Burch Millers

If I’m not wearing my Jack Rogers, then I’m probably wearing my Tory Burch Millers in the summer. These sandals are my other go-to summer shoe, and they are 100% worth the investment. They don’t go on sale often in the classic colors, but if you buy them at Nordstrom you can earn points to use on future purchases. In addition, they’re super comfy! Shop Tory Burch Millers here.
7. Seersucker Skirt
A classic seersucker skirt is another one of my summer wardrobe staples you will find on repeat. My favorite is the one with a scallop hem from Lauren James. Unfortunately, this particular style is no longer available, so I’m glad I got it in three different colors while I could! However, Vineyard Vines has a similar style seersucker skirt here.
