Hey y’all-hope you’re week is off to a great start! If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you know that Lilly Pulitzer shorts are a summer wardrobe staple for me! In addition to casual nights out at the beach, Lilly shorts are also perfect to wear to a baseball game. So today I want to share how I styled another favorite pair of Lilly shorts, my Cattitude print Callahans. I enjoyed wearing these to a Durham Bulls game last month.

Have Some Cattitude
Cattitude is one of my favorite Lilly prints, because it incorporates cats. I also love the purple color scheme in Cattitude, because it’s a little bit different from your typical Lilly print. Although these Lilly shorts are a great summer staple, I feel like I can also wear them in the early spring or early fall, because the print isn’t super summery. Furthermore, the purple print with cats gives me major Clemson vibes, and I have paired these with an orange top or accessories to support my Tigers.
Basic White Tee
For this particular look, however, I wore my Cattitude Lilly shorts with this basic white tee from Target. It’s their “A New Day” brand and is super soft and comfy. Plus it’s great length if you’re petite and short-waisted like me! Y’all are seriously missing out if you haven’t tried any the “A New Day” clothing from Target. It has the look and feel of boutique clothing at Target prices. Talk about a win-win situation!
New Jewelry
I wore two of my recent jewelry purchases with this ensemble: my Kendra Scott Elle drop earrings in purple jade, and my Kate Spade orange mini pendant that I purchased during the surprise sale in May. Prior to buying my first pair of Kendra Scott Elle earrings, most of my earrings were studs (with the exception of my Sheila Fajl hoops). I’m loving breaking out of the box and wearing dangly earrings now too. (For more on my newfound obsession with Kendra Scott, click here.)
My orange pendant is a fun addition to my Kate Spade fruity jewelry collection. I bought it about two weeks before Kate Spade’s tragic suicide, and it was a great conversation starter at church recently. (Click here for more of my reflections on Kate Spade’s legacy and passing.)
More Accessories
I carried my Tory Burch nylon crossbody, which is the perfect bag for a baseball game. I can actually fit a decent amount of stuff in this bag, and don’t have to worry about the navy nylon getting dirty. Unfortunately, it is no longer available for purchase.
My Kate Spade sunnies I found at Saks Off Fifth completed the look.
Mascot Fun
This trip to the Durham Bulls game was extra fun because it was Wool E. Bull’s (their mascot) birthday celebration! In honor fo the occasion, mascots from various teams all around North Carolina came and participated in shenanigans on the field, such as Mascot Musical Chairs. The best part was the chance for photo opps with the different mascots, and I had zero shame in being one of the only adults in line without any kids in tow!
