Hey y’all-hope your week is off to a good start. This past weekend I got to partake in some of my favorite spring activities with some of my favorite people. One of those things was strawberry picking, a favorite spring tradition of mine! There is a really great strawberry patch on the Durham/Orange County line, Waller Family Farm. I’ve picked strawberries there every year since 2013. I usually go multiple times a season, and this past Friday I made my first strawberry patch visit of the 2019 season. I went with one of my dearest friends in Durham. We’ve picked strawberries together six out of the past seven years, and she’s actually who first told me about Waller Family Farm.
It’s also a tradition for me to wear my Lilly Pulitzer Creme Fraiche shorts while strawberry picking each year. Some people take annual Christmas and Easter pictures. I also take annual strawberry patch pictures. So today I’m sharing a recap of my strawberry patch visit, the 2019 edition.

Nine Years of Lilly Pulitzer Creme Fraiche
I started wearing Lilly Pulitzer in 2010. That summer, Lilly came out with the most precious strawberry print, Creme Fraiche. These Lilly Callahan shorts in the Creme Fraiche print were on of the first pairs of Lilly shorts I bought. It’s hard to believe I’ve had them for nearly nine years now. One of my favorite things about Lilly is that the pieces hold up well over the years and never go out of style. I’ve worn my Creme Fraiche Lilly shorts to the strawberry patch every year since 2013. Although these Lilly shorts are from years ago, you can search Poshmark, eBay, and thredUP periodically for the Creme Fraiche print. I just checked, and (at time of publishing) eBay actually has these shorts in a size 2, size 4, and size 6.
Kate Spade Strawberry Necklace
I bought my Kate Spade strawberry mini pendant last year, and it’s now the perfect addition to my ensemble for a strawberry patch visit. Good news for y’all- I just discovered that there are several on eBay. Check them out here!
Love My Jacks
My most broken-in pair of Jack Rogers was perfect to throw on to go strawberry picking. I definitely wouldn’t want to wear my newest pair of sandals to the strawberry patch, since there’s quite a bit of dirt! However, I’ve had this trusty pair of classic metallic Jacks for six years now, and they still have some life in them. So they’re great for when I want to wear cute shoes someplace where they might get a bit dirty. I don’t think Jack Rogers makes this exact bronze color anymore, but you can shop all Jack Rogers here.
As an official Jack Rogers brand ambassador, I’m promoting the following slogan: “With an unmistakable ease, effortless style, and optimistic view on life, Jack Rogers is at home where ever it goes in the world.” I feel like wearing a broken-in pair of Jacks to the strawberry patch embodies this sentiment beautifully!

Have you ever been strawberry picking before? Fresh-picked strawberries always taste better than ones from the grocery store. My favorite way to eat strawberries is with angel food cake and Cool Whip. How about you?
I will definitely be back to Waller Family Farm again before strawberry season ends. If you’re in the Raleigh/Durham area, then you should definitely check them out. They will probably be open until early June. Follow them on Facebook for the latest updates.
