Hey y’all- hope your week is off to a good start. I figured I better go ahead and get my September Favorites up on the blog before we got too far into October! It’s crazy to believe it’s already October, probably because it has felt like summer for most of the past week in North Carolina. Anyways, it’s always fun sharing miscellaneous things and experiences I’ve enjoyed each month. So here goes my September 2018 Favorites!

Ban.do “Anxiety” Necklace

Jen Gotch, the CEO and founder of Ban.do, has partnered with Iconery to create a line of gorgeous mental health awareness necklaces. I bought the “Anxiety” necklace when there was a sale and free shipping promo at the beginning of September. The intent of this Jen Gotch x Iconery necklace collaboration is to promote conversation about mental health issues in hopes of eliminating the stigma they carry in our society. The best part-100% of net proceeds from this necklace go to “Bring Change to Mind,” a non-profit dedicated to eliminating the stigma of mental illness. I proudly wear this necklace because although anxiety doesn’t define me, it is a part of me. While it’s a struggle at many times to live with clinical anxiety, I’m not ashamed of it. I want others who struggle to know they aren’t alone.
Kate Spade Pineapple Pendant
When Kate Spade had an extra 30% off their sale section during Labor Day weekend, I just had to snag this pineapple pendant necklace I had been admiring. I feel like I can get away with wearing this one year-round, because it’s gold and very dainty. It doesn’t scream “summer” like some of my other fruit motif jewelry. Also, the pineapple is a symbol of Southern Hospitality, which is totally appropriate year-round! Good news-this necklace is still available and on sale from Kate Spade here!
“Go Tigers” Calligraphy Doormat
Y’all might remember the precious Ecclesiastes 3:11 calligraphy plaque from Written & Rooted that I got as a birthday present several months ago. Well this month I’m sharing another adorable Written & Rooted item- this “Go Tigers” calligraphy doormat. When I saw Kit post these on her Instagram right at the start of football season, I knew I had to have one! I was in need of a new doormat anyways. If you’re a Clemson fan and want one, send a message to @writtenandrooted on Instagram.
Kate Spade Initial Pendant

As y’all can probably tell, new jewelry was a common theme of my September. I had been admiring this Kate Spade initial pendant for awhile. One of my favorite bloggers, Margaret from Collectively Carolina, wears this necklace all the time. It always looks so cute on her. So when Nordstrom had Triple Points for cardholders a few weeks ago, I used that opportunity to add it to my jewelry collection. I absolutely love it because it goes with everything. One side of the pendant has my “L” initial, and the reverse side says “One in a Million.” I really love how the reverse side includes this saying. It reminds me that I am unique and that God has a plan and purpose for my life unlike anyone else’s! Also, in the Bailey Flanigan series by Karen Kingsbury (one of my favorite authors), Bailey’s mom constantly reminds her that she is “one in a million.” You can buy this initial pendant for yourself here!
7th Heaven on Hulu
I barely watched any 7th Heaven back in the day. However, I recently discovered it on the Hallmark Drama Channel and Hulu. It’s a great show to put on while I work on my blog. It’s such a good, wholesome show, and there are so many great lessons and themes. The characters are so fun and easy to get into as well. I especially love Ruthie Camden. She is so extra and feisty and I hope I have a daughter exactly like her one day!
Clemson Football Returns
September also marked the return of Clemson football, and also my first trip back to Death Valley in almost a year! I got to witness a very close nail-biter game against Clemson and Syracuse, but my Tigers pulled off the win! (For details on this purple dress I wore to the game, check out this post.)
Caviar & Bananas
When I went down to South Carolina for the Clemson game at the end of September, I had a brunch with a friend in downtown Greenville. If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw that we ate at Caviar and Bananas. I had eaten at the Caviar and Bananas location in Charleston once about seven years ago, but this was my first time at the Greenville location. I got a classic brunch plate with eggs, turkey bacon, biscuit, and side of fruit. Of course I got coffee as well. I wore this sleeveless navy cotton slub dress by Lauren James, which has been the perfect for this extended summer we’ve had in the South. You can check out full details on my dress and earrings in this post.
Capture the Moment Blogger Collaboration
Another favorite thing I did in September was attend the Capture the Moment blogger collaboration hosted by The Inspiring Investment. You can read all about my experience at this fun event here.
Hope y’all enjoyed this peek into my September 2018 favorites. What have y’all been loving lately? Let me know in the comments!
