Hey y’all-hope you’re hanging in there! Today I’m excited to share all about the newest addition to my shoe collection: the Sarah Flint Natalie Flats. Last month I shared the news on Instagram and in this blog post that I’m officially a Sarah Flint Brand Ambassador. Sarah Flint gifted me with a pair of shoes to share with my Instagram followers, and I chose their iconic Natalie ballet flats. Even though I’m only 5’3″ and could stand a few extra inches, I still typically choose flats over heels. Thus, the Natalie was an obvious choice. I adore my new Sarah Flint shoes so much that I want to share more about them here on the blog as well. Keep reading for my Sarah Flint Natalie Flats review, plus some styling inspiration!
Note that I received my Natalie Flats courtesy of Sarah Flint in exchange for monthly Instagram posts over a six-month period. However, I only accept brand collaborations that align with my style and values, and that I believe my audience will enjoy too.

What are Sarah Flint Shoes?
Before I delve more into why I love my new Sarah Flint Natalie flats, I want to share a little bit of background on this luxury shoe brand. Sarah Flint founded her company at age 25, which is impressive in and of itself! The goal behind all of Sarah Flint’s designs is to offer style without sacrificing comfort. A wider toe box, anatomical arch support, and foam cushioning are features of Sarah Flint shoes for added comfort! In addition, there’s a rubber outsole that provides a no-slip grip to enhance walkability. Part of the reason I choose flats over heels is because I find anything higher than a kitten heel extremely uncomfortable. But I actually really want to try a pair of Sarah Flint heels in the future, because I’m optimistic that they will actually be shoes I’m not ready to ditch after an hour!
Sarah Flint shoes are designed in New York, but made in Italy with the highest quality craftsmanship. Think hand-stitched outsoles, and hand-cut leather uppers. Inside each Sarah Flint shoebox, you will find a card signed by the Italian artisan who made your shoes. This is such a nice personal touch. Since Sarah Flint sells their shoes directly to the consumer, there is no retail mark-up. Therefore, Sarah Flint shoes are available at a much lower price point than comparable designers.
Now that I’ve shared a little bit of background on the Sarah Flint brand, it’s time for me to spill exactly what I think about my new Natalie flats.
Sarah Flint Natalie Flats: A Classic Staple Worth the Investment
The Natalie, a pointed toe ballet flat with asymmetrical bow detail, is one of Sarah Flint’s bestselling styles. After receiving my pair, I can definitely see why. They are comfortable right out of the box. Even though the Natalie flat has a pointed toe, my toes don’t feel squished at all. In addition, the leather is supposed to stretch over time. I chose the Saddle Vacchetta color because they would literally go with everything. In the future, I hope to own some additional colors in the Natalie flat.
The Sarah Flint Natalie Flats are definitely an investment. However, they are a quality, classic staple you will wear for years to come. One thing that’s important to consider when buying shoes is the cost per wear. If you have to replace a pair of cheap flats every couple years because they fall apart, you will ultimately end up spending more in the long-run than if you invested in a more expensive but high quality pair from the get-go. In addition, I would rather have a few pairs of luxury shoes that will never go out of style than a closet-full of cheaper trendy shoes that won’t stand the test of time. These Sarah Flint flats are elegant and timeless, and I love that I feel like a million bucks when I wear mine!
Sarah Flint Natalie Flats Fit and Sizing
Fit and sizing info is an important part of this Sarah Flint Natalie Flats review. Keep in mind that all Sarah Flint shoes are in Italian sizes. There is a chart on the Sarah Flint website that will assist you in converting your US size to Italian size. I wear either a 7 or 7.5 in dress shoes. My foot is on the narrow side, so that’s why I wear different sizes in different styles or brands. According to the fit commentary on Sarah Flint’s website, they recommend getting your usual size if your foot is medium width, and sizing up a half size if your foot is wide.
I actually tried the 37.5 in the Natalie flat first, which is equivalent to a US 7.5. However, they were way too big for me. There was a lot of slippage in the heel, and I was even walking right out of them. I think this was due more to my foot being narrow than the shoe being too long. The exchange process for a 37 (equivalent to US size 7) was extremely easy. When I received my size 37 Natalie flats, I could immediately tell they were a lot better. I wasn’t walking out of them. At the same time, I felt like they would still be secure on my feet even if the leather stretched out some. Keep in mind that Sarah Flint advises that shows should be “comfortably snug” when you first get them. However, they shouldn’t feel tight or uncomfortable.
If buying shoes online without being able to try them on in store first intimidates you because your foot is weird like mine, then rest assured you can buy Sarah Flint with confidence. The Sarah Flint team will work with you to make sure you end up with the right size.
How to Style Sarah Flint Natalie Flats
The Sarah Flint Natalie Flats are classy and elegant while still being appropriate for everyday wear. I currently style them with skinny jeans and a knit top if I want a break from loungewear, which has primarily been my wardrobe since I started working from home almost 10 months ago. If I wear jeans instead of leggings when I do go somewhere, it’s most likely because I want to wear my cute and comfy Sarah Flint flats. Here are a few examples of different casual winter outfits I put together featuring skinny jeans and my Natalie Flats:
I know my Sarah Flint flats will also go well with dresses and skirts once I have dressier places to wear them. Here’s to hoping that the later part of 2021 will bring more opportunities to wear them out and about!
Meghan Markle’s Favorite Ballet Flats
The Sarah Flint Natalie Flats also have some famous fans. These comfortable and stylish ballet flats garnered a lot of attention in the fashion world when Meghan Markle wore them out for her first public appearance with Prince Harry. Although Sarah Flint isn’t able to promote Meghan Markle in their official marketing materials per Royal Family protocol, it’s still widely known that the Natalie Flats had the “Markle Effect.” Years ago I had a dream that Kate Middleton was in People magazine wearing a scarf exactly like one I own. I was so bummed when I woke up and realized it was just a dream. However, I can now say that I own a pair of shoes that Meghan Markle also owns, and it’s real life.
Other celebrities who wear Sarah Flint shoes include Amal Clooney, Jessica Alba, Jane Fonda, Cindy Crawford, and Gabrielle Union.
