Quarantine Bucket List Ideas

Hey- how are y’all hanging in there? Most of us have been quarantined for over a month now. Some states are discussing opening up and loosening some coronavirus pandemic restriction. Nevertheless, it’s very likely that we will still be spending increased time at home over the next several weeks. To be completely honest, I’m not quite ready for quarantine life to end. I’ve enjoyed working from home in my daytime pajamas for over a month. It’s also been nice to have some extra time at home on evenings and weekends to do various things. However, I feel like there’s still a lot of things I want to check off my quarantine bucket list before this season ends, so I’m perfectly content with staying at home for awhile longer. It also helps that I’m an introvert and a homebody. On the other hand, I realize that my more extroverted friends might be going a bit stir crazy. So today I’m sharing my quarantine bucket list ideas. Hopefully this will give you some inspiration if you find yourself “bored in the house and in the house bored.”

A Couple Important Notes

Important note before we get started- I realize that I’m extremely privileged to be able to work from home and still earn a paycheck right now. Some of you reading this might be suffering economically right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please know that you have the freedom to feel what you feel during this time. I realize that simply coming up with additional at-home activities doesn’t ease the extreme burden of uncertainty you feel right now. Know that I am praying for wisdom as our leaders make decisions that balance both health and economic concerns.

In addition, I realize that some of you might be suffering adversely from mental health issues during this time. Toxic positivity is a real problem, so I am absolutely not telling you to snap out of it. While gratitude is a game-changer, you are still entitled to feel the difficult feelings you’re experiencing right now. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety triggered by other things, I know what it’s like to be in a rough place mentally and emotionally.I empathize with you!

I simply wanted to share these important disclaimers before diving into things, because I don’t want to come across as insensitive. For some of y’all, the burdens of quarantine may be more complex than simply finding more activities to cure boredom. I want to recognize that, while still sharing this post as a resource for people looking for quarantine bucket list ideas.

My Quarantine Bucket List

Here’s some things I’m wanting to do during my extra time at home:

Finish Fuller House

I’m almost done with Season 4, and then I will just have Season 5 left to watch. As someone who grew up on Full House, I’ve enjoyed this spin-off with familiar actors and characters.

Watch more Gilmore Girls

Sadly, I never got into Gilmore Girls back when it originally aired in the early 2000’s. But I got into it last summer when one of my good friends hosted a binge watching party. I’m still only in Season 2, and I’m hoping to get further along during the remainder of quarantine.

Watch Cheer

Ever since I started hearing people rave about Cheer on Netflix a couple months ago, it’s been on my “want-to-watch” list. I simply haven’t had a chance yet.

Organize Papers and Files in my Apartment

Even in quarantine I’ve been putting this off, but I’ve been meaning to organize some papers, files, and receipts in my apartment for awhile. This isn’t quite as fun or exciting as my Netflix watch list, but it will feel good to do it.

Order Photo Prints

I haven’t ordered prints of some of my favorite more recent photos, and am wanting to do this. Periodically I like to update the photos on my fridge, photo board, and frames in my apartment.

Finish Watching High School Musical the Musical the Series

My bestie and I watched the first few episodes of this Disney+ original series back in February when we had our girls’ weekend. It was cute, and you will definitely enjoy it if you like the High School Musical movies. I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the series.

Have a Toy Story Marathon

This is really sad for a Disney fan, but I still haven’t seen Toy Story 3 or Toy Story 4. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched the first two Toy Story movies, so I want to re-watch Toy Story and Toy Story 2, and then watch the third and fourth movies for the first time.

Start My Blog Newsletter

This one is in progress. I finally designed a one-page downloadable guide, “Closet Essentials Worth Investing In,” that I’m offering as a freebie to people who sign up for my newsletter. I’m super excited to send out my first blog e-newsletter this weekend, and plan to send one out once a week. If you’re interested, you can sign up here.

Go to Blog School

Months ago I purchased a bundle of blogging courses at extreme savings. While I’ve done a few of these courses, I still have a lot left to go through. I really want to use this extra time at home to invest in my blog so that I can more efficiently balance it with my full-time job and social life once post-quarantine life comes.

Host a Virtual Spa Party

A few weeks ago I got the idea to host a virtual spa party where I share some of my favorite clean beauty products. I simply haven’t gotten around to it yet, but hope to soon. Maybe this weekend! If you’re interested in getting an invite to my virtual spa party, send me an email!

Learn How to Use a Gua Sha Stone

A couple weeks ago I bought this Gua Sha Stone from Primally Pure, one of my favorite clean beauty brands. It has skin benefits, promotes lymphatic drainage, and is supposed to enhance overall sense of well-being. I need to read the pamphlet it came with and get started. You can learning more about the Primally Pure Gua Sha Stone here. If you want one for yourself, you can save 10% with code “LS10.”

Start a Clean Beauty e-newsletter.

I also want to start another e-newsletter with clean beauty education and my favorite products. I am still figuring out what freebie I want to offer new subscribers, but you can go ahead and sign up here if you’re interested!

Invest in my relationship with the Lord.

I also want to use this time wisely to grow in my faith by slowing down and not rushing through my quiet times with God. My BSF study for the year just wrapped up, so in the weeks to come I will have some additional time to independently study my Bible. Four years ago I started the “read the Bible in a year” challenge, but I’m still in Ezekiel. Luckily God’s love for me isn’t dependent upon me actually completing the “read the Bible in a year” challenge in 12 months. Nevertheless, I still want to make some more headway in this endeavor.

Journal more.

While I’ve been a bit more consistent with journaling in my Stephanie May Wilson “Every Single Moment” prayer journal for singles since quarantine started, I’m still not as consistent as I would like to be. In addition, I want to reminisce on my journey over the past few years and process some thoughts with God in an open-ended journal.  I also have a Devoted Life prompted journal by Natalie Metrejean Lewis that I want to write in more.

I haven’t really done much reading since quarantine started, but I have a few books I’ve yet to read that I would love to dive into soon. They include:

In addition, my favorite author, Karen Kingsbury, releases a new book on May 5. It’s called Someone Like You, and I’m definitely going to pre-order it! I also want to go through and actually read some of my coffee table books.

Try My Hand at Hand-Lettering

Last summer my friends at DaySpring sent me this Happy Hand Lettering how-to book by Maghon Taylor of All She Wrote Notes. I ordered some of the recommended pens and markers awhile back, but haven’t made time to actually dive into it yet.

Stay Safe & Healthy!
