Pineapple Palooza: Happy National Pineapple Day

Hey y’all! Happy Hump Day and Happy National Pineapple Day! To be honest, I just discovered a few days ago that today is National Pineapple Day. However, considering that “Pineapples” comprises half of my blog’s name, I couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating with a blog post. So in honor of the occasion, I’m sharing some of my favorite pineapple-themed items!

National Pineapple Day

I was super excited Purcado had a pineapple to use as a prop when I did a shoot with them last month. (For more details about my time hanging out with Purcado and this outfit, click here.)

Southern Hospitality

I love pineapples because they are delicious, but I also love them because they symbolize Southern hospitality. My mission with Palmettos & Pineapples is to share my passions & inspire yours, with a touch of Southern hospitality. Since I desire for “southern hospitality” to be a common thread among the different content I create, I decided to incorporate “pineapples” into the title.

I Have This Thing with Pineapples

Even before I started this blog, I had an affinity for anything with a pineapple motif. If you’ve been reading my blog or following me on Insta for awhile, then you know I honestly love anything with a fruit motif. Maybe it’s just me, but there seems to be more pineapple-themed items out there than any other fruit. That’s totally find by me though!

Here are some of my favorite pineapple things!

Lilly Pulitzer Etta Top in Home Slice

Lilly Pulitzer Home Slice

The “Home Slice” pineapple print is one of my favorites currently available from Lilly Pulitzer. It might actually be one of my all-time favorite Lilly prints. I couldn’t resist adding this top to my closet. You can get it here. (For more pictures and details on how I styled this top, click here. Also, shoutout to Amelia Cassar Photography for this pic!) This pink and green Home Slice print also comes in a shift romper, three-quarter sleeve dress, shorts, and popover.

Lilly for Pottery Barn Home Slice Beach Towel

Lilly for Pottery Barn

I also love my Lilly for Pottery Barn beach towel in Home Slice. The blue and green colorway and the large pineapple in the middle of the towel make it have a slightly different look than the pink and green print in the clothing. Also, how fun are the tassels at the edge?!

Bourbon & Boweties Pineapple Bangle

National Pineapple Day

I’ve had this adorable Bourbon & Boweties pineapple bangle for three years now, and I wear it ALL THE TIME in the spring and summer. It’s so incredibly easy to throw on, and it matches everything. I bought mine from Charlotte’s boutique in Raleigh, but you can order it directly from their website.

Lilly Pulitzer Flamenco Print Throw Pillow

National Pineapple Day

This Lilly Pulitzer throw pillow in “Flamenco” is a great addition to my brown couch. It actually reverses to gold pineapples with a white background.

Lilly Pulitzer Agendas

The Lilly agenda I have been using for the past year is the Flamenco print in a navy & gold color scheme.

Lilly Pulitzer Pineapple Agenda

I recently bought a Lilly agenda to start using in August, and of course I chose a pineapple print again. This print is called “Multi Gypset Paradise,” and you can get your own here.

Lauren Conrad Pineapple Trinket Tray

Lauren Conrad Pineapple Trinket Tray

About a year and a half ago I saw this Lauren Conrad Pineapple trinket tray at Kohl’s, and couldn’t resist picking it up for myself. I keep it on my dresser and use it to old some of my frequently worn stud earrings. Good news- Kohl’s currently has a similar one available here. I seriously love the Lauren Conrad line at Kohl’s!

Lilly Pulitzer Toucan Tango Print

Lilly Pulitzer Toucan Tango Top

I also adore my Toucan Tango print Lilly top. In addition to toucans, this print incorporates pineapples. It was perfect to wear for Minnie’s Beach Bash breakfast at Cape May Cafe on my most recent trip to Disney World. (Click here if you want to read more about that adventure.)

Hope y’all enjoyed this post. And this is by no means a comprehensive list of all the pineapple-themed items I own and love. (Yes, I really do have that many!) Did you celebrate National Pineapple Day today? I wore my Bourbon & Boweties pineapple bangle, along with a classic Lilly shift in the Crazy Cat House print, which also includes pineapples. What are some of your favorite pineapple-themed items you own?

-xoxo Liz
