Hey y’all! Memorial Day is only 10 days away, and the 4th of July is just six weeks later. So, today I want to share some patriotic outfit inspiration with y’all! There is definitely no shortage of opportunities to wear red, white, and blue outfits over the next month and a half! I will show y’all a couple favorite patriotic outfits that I’ve worn in the past and definitely plan to repeat. In addition, I will round-up some favorite Americana outfits currently available for purchase. If you need a new red, white, & blue outfit, this weekend is a great opportunity to do some online shopping.

Patriotic Outfit Inspiration from My Closet
I wore this outfit the day of the 2016 Olympics Opening Ceremony. My friend and I went out to dinner at the beach, then came back to the beach house to watch the Opening Ceremony. It was so much fun! I am a huge Olympics nerd, and especially love the Summer Olympics. Confession-I don’t own a ton of red (mainly because it doesn’t really match my typical pastel or neon color palette). So the “red” in a lot of my patriotic outfits is more reddish pink. This is the case with my Lilly Pulitzer Gigi Top in this adorable giraffe print from a few years ago. Even though chevron isn’t on trend the way it was circa 2013, I still love how the giraffes are arranged in a chevron pattern. And a printed Lilly top never goes out of style.
Also, peep my Lilly for Target pineapple sandals. I recently threw them away because the pineapple on one shoe kept coming unattached, and it was getting really old having to fix with shoe glue. I have been trying to minimize my closet a bit, so I decided they had gotten good wear for three sandal seasons and had seen better days.
Additional Outfit Details:
Jeans: Joe’s (similar) // Earrings: Sheila Fajl // Bracelet: Lilly Pulitzer //
Headband: Lauren James (navy is sold out, but here’s red) // Necklace: The Limited
Then last year during the 4th of July week I wore my Mickey Mouse Disney World V-Neck t-shirt (you might remember it from this post) with my Lilly Pulitzer Callahan shorts in “Stamped.” Once again, these shorts are more of a reddish pink than true red. It’s fun to pair a graphic tee with Lilly shorts for a bit of a different look sometimes! I wore my Lauren James seersucker headband again with this patriotic ensemble. (I so wish it was still available for purchase because I love it and wear it all the time!) Although pearls pair nicely with this Mickey top, I would totally wear wear my Kate Spade Minnie Mouse necklace or earrings with it now.

I love it too, but I think I am going to get the LJ Brooke dress so I can wear it to work! Thanks for reading 🙂
Hey neighbor! I’m in Wake Forest myself. I think I need to be a little more patriotic when it comes to my clothes. My bathing suit is the only thing sporting those colors right now. I stumbled across your blog on Instagram and it’s great (along with your insta)!
Hey there Leslie! Thanks for stopping by and reading, and for your kind words! It’s always fun to connect with other NC people. Hopefully my post gave you some good inspiration on how to add some patriotic ensembles to your closet. I hope you have a great week and a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
