Hey y’all- I’ve been so busy creating Christmas content for y’all that I realized I never published a November 2018 Favorites post. And I’m almost a whole month late. Oops! I’ve enjoyed doing round-up posts of some of my favorite things from each month pretty much ever since I started this blog. Therefore, I don’t want to entirely skip November. So I decided to combine November and non-Christmas specific December favorites together. Plus, my Black Friday and Cyber Monday haul comprise a good bit of my favorites from the past couple months. I ordered items from those sales in November, but they either didn’t arrive or I didn’t start using them until December. So I guess it makes sense that I combine these two months!

Bible Study Fellowship Bonfire
In early November, my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class had a bonfire one Saturday night. It was the perfect temperature, chilly but not too cold, and such a sweet time to mingle and enjoy s’mores! Words can’t express how thankful I am for all the new friends I’ve made through BSF over the past few months. It truly has been an answer to prayer!
Sidenote: This Lauren James Sherpa is perfect for a bonfire. My exact color is sold out, but you can shop other colors here.
UNC Basketball Game
In mid-November I had the opportunity to go to a UNC basketball game. This was the first UNC basketball game I had been to in almost four years. Although it wasn’t much of a game, (UNC blew out their opponent) my seats were good, and I got a mascot photo app after the game. If you’ve been following me on Instagram for any period of time, you know that I have a mascot obsession. Also, this light blue printed button down I’m wearing is the first item of Lilly clothing I’ve ever purchased. I’ve had it for almost nine years now!
UNC Dunkin Donuts Koozie
Dunkin Donuts had a booth at Tar Heel Town, the Fan Fest that happens during the pre-game time at UNC football games. They were giving away prizes to anyone who downloaded the Dunkin Donuts app. I was excited to snag this exclusive Carolina blue Dunkin Donuts koozie. It has the UNC logo on one side, and the Dunkin Donuts logo on the other.
Kate Spade Marshall’s Find
My Marshall’s had a couple Kate Spade goodies back in November that I couldn’t resist picking up. I score this hot pink mini notebook that has “This Just In” embossed on the front, along with a classic pink & orange refillable ink pen. I’ve always liked the Kate Spade refillable pens, but could never justify paying full price. Therefore, when I saw one for about 50% off retail at Marshall’s I had to grab it. Plus pink & orange is my fave color combo.
Duck Donuts
I’m all about celebrating the simple joys in life, and sometimes that includes good coupons in the mail. Back in November I got a couple coupons for espresso drinks and donuts at the Duck Donuts near my place, and I enjoyed getting to cash them in! Yum!
Mickey’s 90th Birthday
November 18 was Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. I already published a post celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse. But I have to add that I am super excited to have finally gotten my hands on one of the Life Magazine special edition issues featuring Mickey!
LOFT Leopard Print Scarf
I got this leopard print scarf from LOFT back in early November when it was on sale. Good news- it’s back in stock. It’s affordable to begin with, and LOFT frequently has sales. I actually wore it with a Piko top for Thanksgiving this year.
Tory Burch Tilda Nylon Tote
I first saw the Tory Burch Tilda Nylon Tote in Nordstrom back in September. Although I loved it, I couldn’t justify buying it at the time. However, it definitely remained in my mind and on my wish list. So when Nordstrom had a Cyber Week promo that involved getting an e-gift card for spending a certain amount, I cashed in my Nordstrom double points day and treated myself to an early Christmas present. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, I highly recommend it! It’s so easy to rack up points that will eventually earn you a Nordstrom Note to use on future purchases! Iove my Tory Burch Tilda tote because the nylon is weatherproof. And this bag has an interior zipper pocket and open pocket to help with organization.
Lilly Pulitzer Infinity Scarf in Hanging with My Boo
I’ve already featured my newest Lilly Pulitzer scarf in the most adorable Hanging with My Boo panda print in a few posts. But it’s definitely worth mentioning again, because I love this print that much! I recently wore it with a green sweater for a girls’ night out (see pictures here), but I also love the way it looks with a black top.
Lilly Pulitzer Key Ring ID Holder in Hangin with My Boo
I couldn’t resist grabbing the Hanging with My Boo print in a key ring ID holder as well. It’s under $30, and holds a driver’s license, plus cash and a couple other credit cards. It’s great for when you don’t want to lug a whole wallet around. Also, when I purchased this ID holder and scarf together, I was able to get a really great Cyber Weekend Gift with Purchase. If you follow me on Instagram you already saw my gift with purchase, but I will share it on the blog soon too.
Anthropologie Block Initial Necklace
I’m definitely on an initial accessories kick lately, so when Anthropologie had everything 30% off during their Black Friday weekend sale, I grabbed this cute block initial pendant necklace. It’s a slightly different twist from my Kate Spade initial necklace that I have been wearing on repeat these past few months. I’ve already worn it quite a few times.
Lilly Pulitzer S’well Bottle
I already had one Lilly Pulitzer S’well Bottle from the collaboration they did with Starbucks back in February 201. Although I love that one, I hadn’t added any more to my collection because I couldn’t justify the cost of another Lilly S’well bottle, and they didn’t make any prints I absolutely loved. However, Lilly has really stepped up their game with prints in their latest S’well bottle collections. When Lilly had a one-day flash sale a couple weeks ago featuring half price S’well bottles, I couldn’t resist snagging a new one in the Multi Swell in the Groves print. I love the pink & green colors, and the print features lions and tigers! You can check out my new S’well bottle here. If you don’t already have a Lilly S’well bottle, it’s definitely worth splurging and getting one full price!
Kate Spade Make Mine a Double Thermal Mug
When Kate Spade had 30% off almost everything during their Cyber Weekend sale, I couldn’t help snagging another travel mug that I had been eyeing. This one has a pretty light pink color, and a fun idiom, “Make Mine a Double.” It’s definitely great to carry on those morning when I need an extra caffeine boost. Also, I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m really loving the redesigned lids on Kate Spade travel mugs.
Jadelynn Brooke Felt Letter Board
When Jadelynn Brooke had a free shipping promo earlier this month, I decided to finally order this cute felt letter board from their Three Happy Hooligans gift line that I had been admiring for months. You can mount it on the wall or stand it up on a desk/counter/table. It comes with letters in pink, white, and mint green, which I love.
Jadelynn Brooke Pink Pom Pen
I also couldn’t resist adding this Jadelynn Brooke goodie to my collection. I totally feel like I’m channeling my brunette Elle Woods side when I use this pink pom pen. It says “You Can Change the World, Girl,” on the barrel. So fun!
Ice Cream on a Log
A couple weeks ago I went out to the City Club in downtown Raleigh to celebrate one of my good friend’s seminary graduation. My favorite part of the entire meal was dessert. No surprises there though! This creamy homemade ice cream was absolutely delicious. I had the “Death by Chocolate” flavor, which included a truffle brownie on top. Although it tasted delicious, the presentation was even more memorable. The waiter brought the ice cream to our table situated on a little log!
Tory Burch Logo Stud Earrings
My blogger bestie Emily Smith randomly sent me a Tory Burch gift card she got that she wasn’t going to use before it expired. I used it to buy these gold logo stud earrings that I had been wanting for awhile. I have a pair that I got five years ago, but I had been wanting to replace with the newer design. The older design had a square behind the logo, and it a tendency for the logo to come unattached. Luckily Tory Burch realized this design flaw and the new ones are much better. I might have to get them in rose gold eventually as well. Thanks again for the gift card Emily. Blogging hasn’t always been easy, but the amazing connections I have made with women like Emily make all the hiccups worth it!
I hope that y’all enjoyed this post and catching a glimpse at some things and experiences I’ve been loving lately. Later this week I will have another post sharing my Christmas-themed December 2018 Favorites, so stay tuned! What have y’all been loving lately?
It’s hard to believe that it’s Christmas Eve, one of the my most favorite days of the whole year. Hope y’all have a Merry Christmas celebrating with loved ones. I’m thankful for the true meaning of the season- that God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to dwell among us and die for our sins in our place. What a wonderful gift that is!
