Hey y’all- Happy Memorial Day! Since we are celebrating the unofficial kick-off to summer during this long weekend, I thought I would share my Vineyard Vines for Target haul. I shared a peek at my haul on Instagram the day of the launch, but wanted to share some additional pictures and details. This collaboration screams “summer,” so I figured it was a fitting post for today.

My Shopping Experience
I honestly wasn’t quite sure what to expect with Vineyard Vines for Target. Although I was hopeful it wouldn’t be as crazy as Lilly Pulitzer for Target, I was also prepared that it might. I originally planned to do most of my shopping online. The look book had previously indicated that the tabletop and home decor items I wanted would be online only. I still planned to go to the store when it opened just for the experience and to see the set-up.
So I set my alarm for 3:00am EST the morning of the launch. Target hadn’t indicated an exact time for the online launch, so I gave it my best guess. However, once my alarm went off and I browsed the Target site on my phone, I saw that the home and tabletop things I wanted were actually going to be in store. I simply didn’t have the brain power at 3:00am to figure out what I wanted, so I re-set my alarm for 5:45am (because I had this grand idea I would go for a run first) and went back to sleep. My plan to go for a run before hitting Target at 7:00am on a Saturday was a bit ambitious. I definitely pressed snooze several times. However, I was proud of myself for pulling into the Target parking lot at 6:50am, 10 minutes before opening!
In addition, I was thrilled that I only saw about 15 people lined up outside Target. A Target worker gave us the lowdown and let us know all the Vineyard Vines merchandise would be together right behind the checkout area. Once the doors opened, we all made a beeline to the Vineyard Vines for Target display. Everyone was very civil, and the items didn’t immediately fly off the shelves the way they did with Lilly. I got everything I really wanted, and even put back a couple clothing items that didn’t fit well. Here’s a glimpse at what I got!
Patchwork Whale Shorts
These adorable shorts might be one of my favorite things I scored. I love the classic Vineyard Vines print, and the embroidered whale above the back pocket. The quality is super impressive for a $25 pair of shorts too. I will do another blog post soon to show y’all how I styled these at the beach this past weekend.
Melamine Salad Plates
I got a few of these cute printed melamine salad plates. They aren’t fine china, but they aren’t flimsy either. At $2.50 a piece, I’m very pleased with the quality. Plus I love the patchwork whale print and the patriotic gingham whale print. Also, the bottom of the plate features the Vineyard Vines tagline “Every Day Should Feel This Good.”
Whale Appetizer Plates
I also grabbed a couple of these small appetizer plates with the classic whale logo in navy. These will be great to use for snacks!
Gingham Whale Bowls
I had a realneed for some more bowls, so I had to snag a couple of these cute gingham patriotic whale bowls. They are a great size for side salads or cereal.
Gingham Utensil Sets
Continuing with the gingham patriotic whale theme here. These utensil sets were too cute to pass up, and one can always use an extra set of cutlery. The utensils sets are actually still in stock online as of publishing this post.
Paper Products
I stocked up on a few packs of disposable dinner plates, lunch napkins, and cocktail napkins in the various Vineyard Vines prints. These will be great to have on hand for a party or a girls’ night in. These paper products are still in stock online as of publishing as well.
Striped Whale Throw
I was so happy I scored this striped whale throw. It’s so soft, and looks great draped on the back of my couch for summer. I will take a picture of how it looks on my couch soon!
Waterproof Playing Cards
This deck of playing cards has the Vineyard Vines whale logo on the back, and the royalty cards have whales on the front side as well. Also, I love how the joker says “Every Day Should Feel This Good.” These cards are made of a waterproof stock, and they come in a plastic case, so they are perfect for toting to the pool or beach. I simply couldn’t resist picking up this fun novelty item.
Inflatable Whale Drink Holder
During my initial shopping trip, I put this inflatable whale drink holder in my cart, but then set it back on the shelf in an attempt to show some self control. However, I kept thinking about how cute it was, and when Target still had it in stock a few days later I picked it up! This is actually still in stock online as well.
What if I Want Something That Is Sold Out?
If you want something that is sold out, then there’s a slight chance it could show up in your local Target store if someone returns. I wouldn’t get my hopes up, but I also wouldn’t completely count it out either. It’s definitely worth stopping in your Target periodically this week, as Saturday, June 1, is the final day to return items for anyone who made a purchase on launch day. Sometimes in the initial frenzy, people pick up everything they possibly want, and then narrow things down later.
Hope y’all enjoyed seeing my Vineyard Vines for Target haul! If you shopped the Vineyard Vines for Target collaboration, what did you score? What are your favorites from your haul?
Finally, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, and is a time for the pool, beach, and cookouts. However, it’s also a day to remember the heroes who literally laid down their lives for the USA. Because of their bravery, Americans are blessed to live in a country with many freedoms that other people aren’t the world aren’t fortunate enough to enjoy.
