My Favorite Christmas Ornaments

Hey y’all-can you believe it’s almost Christmas?! Despite the lack of holiday gatherings to attend this year, I’ve managed to stay busy this month. Hence why I’m later than intended with getting this blog post up. Anyways, before Christmas gets here, I want to share a glimpse of my favorite Christmas ornaments with y’all. I have a small artificial Christmas tree that’s perfect for my apartment living room. My ornaments are combination of ones I’ve had since childhood, and one’s I’ve collected as an adult.

Mickey & Duffy

Mickey & Duffy Christmas Ornament

I did not buy this Mickey Mouse & Duffy Bear ornament while I was at Disney World, but about a year after my fall 2015 trip, I saw it in the Disney Parks merchandise section of shopDisney. Since I love Duffy the Disney Bear, I couldn’t resist ordering and adding to my collection! In case you’re unfamiliar, Duffy is Mickey Mouse’s teddy bear. You can read more about Duffy here.

Cross-stitch Candy Cane

When I was in 6th grade, my homeroom teacher was the Home Economics teacher. She taught us how to cross-stitch, and we spent several weeks working on cross-stitch ornaments as our daily activity. I remember feeling so accomplished when I finished it, and it’s still fun to get out every Christmas all these years later!

Written & Rooted Joy Ornament

Hand-Lettered Christmas Ornament

I’m still super close with my Bible Study leader from my time living in Greenville, SC. Her sweet daughter-in-law has a hand-lettering business, Written & Rooted. She makes these beautiful wood ornaments that look like a cross-section of tree trunk and have a seasonal word lettered on them. I have “Joy” (pictured above), as well as “Hope” and “Peace.” Follow Written & Rooted on Instagram here.

Lilly Pulitzer Elephant

Several years ago I bought this Lilly Pulitzer painted ball ornament with an elephant on it during an after-Christmas sale at my local corporate store.

Lilly Pulitzer Zebra

I couldn’t resist adding this pink and white Lilly Pulitzer zebra painted ball ornament to my collection when it was in the January 2015 After Party Sale!

Chick-fil-a Santa Cow

Chick-fil-a Cow Ornament

I love Chick-fil-a and their cow mascot, so this cloth ornament with Santa Cow in a stocking is perfect for me. One of my favorite Christmas traditions that I had to put on hold this year is going to Chick-fil-a to get my picture taken with Santa Cow.

Starbucks Cups

These Starbucks cup ornaments really don’t need any additional explanation as to why they are perfect for my little tree. I bought these several years ago when Starbucks marked down their ornaments after Christmas.

Starbucks Bear

This bear ornament doesn’t scream “Starbucks” the way the cups do, but it is another Starbucks ornament. I thought he was so cute, so had to pick him up.

Panda Bear

This painted wooden panda bear ornament is probably my favorite childhood ornament that I have in my current collection. It was a gift to me when I was 1 or 2.

Clemson Ornament

After I became a big Clemson fan, I had to get a Clemson ornament to add to my collection. This orange ball with the Tiger Paw and a ribbon on top is super classic. I bought it at Palmetto Moon during one of my trips to South Carolina.

Of course, my tree has to show the Tar Heels some love as well! I love this gorgeous UNC ball ornament.

Merry Christmas Y’all!

I hope that y’all enjoyed this peek at some of my favorite Christmas ornaments. With all the changes and cancellations this Christmas season, I’m extra thankful for the continued tradition of putting up a tree and decorating with beloved ornaments. Here’s a look at my 2020 Christmas tree all decorated:

What are your favorite Christmas ornaments?

I hope that y’all have a very Merry Christmas and have the opportunity to safely get together with loved ones. May we remember the true meaning of the season, that God loved His people so much that He literally came down to earth to dwell among them by sending His Son to rescue humanity from our sin and depravity. What a comforting reminder at the end of this crazy, mixed up year!
