Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020

Hey y’all-hope you’re doing well. April is almost over, which means Mother’s Day is just two weeks away! So today I’m sharing my Mother’s Day Gift Guide: 2020 Edition. Standard shipping deadlines to ensure delivery by Mother’s Day are this week for many retailers. In addition, several companies I feature in my Mother’s Day Gift Guide are having sales right now. Therefore, I recommend grabbing something for your mom or other special moms ASAP. With the crazy times we’re living in right now, I’m sure moms will appreciate gifts of appreciation to brighten their day even more this year. In addition, I feel like the moms of young kids who are doing double duty during quarantine deserve something extra this year! Here’s my recommendations. Everything is $100 or under, and most items are under $50!

Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020: Beauty & Skincare

Beauty & skincare items are a great option for any mom, especially the mom who is difficult to shop for. Here are several universally appealing clean beauty products that any mom would enjoy receiving:

Beautycounter Citrus Mimosa Body Products: Beautycounter’s Citrus Mimosa Body Wash, Body Lotion, and Hand Cream are some of my go-to gifts for anytime, and Mother’s Day is no exception. Plus, if you’re a new Beautycounter customer, you can save 20% through April 30.

Drunk Elephant Body Lotion & Cream Body Cleanser: Popular clean beauty brand Drunk Elephant just launched a body care line! I’ve tried both the body lotion and cream body cleanser, and recommend them both. They have a very subtle cherry almond scent, so they’re especially great for moms who don’t like super fragrant body products.

Drunk Elephant Skincare Sets: Drunk Elephant has some fun and colorful gift sets with smaller sizes of their most popular skincare products. The Littles Set is a staple in Drunk Elephant’s line, and they actually just launched the Bare With Us Kit. These would make great gifts if your mom enjoys trying new skincare.

Beautycounter Sugar Body Scrub: This luxurious body scrub has an amazing lemongrass scent, and is great for exfoliating dry skin. Definitely great for the mom in need of some pampering!

Primally Pure Body Butter: Primally Pure has a thick & luxurious hydrating body butter. It comes in multiple scents, but I especially recommend the Vanilla+Almond! If you’re new to Primally Pure, you can save 10% on this with code “LS10.”

Beautycounter Classic Velvet Eyeshadow Palette: For the mom who likes playing with different eyeshadows, I recommend the Beautycounter Velvet Eyeshadow Palette in Classic. The shades work for anyone, and they are a safe bet just in case your mom isn’t into bold eye makeup colors. Fun fact- a recent article in The Zoe Report revealed that Mandy Moore uses this eyeshadow palette as part of her daily routine!

Beautycounter Sheer Lipstick: This is my favorite lipstick because it has a great balance between color and hydration. If you want to treat your mom to a new lip color, this is my top pick. There are several shades to choose from. I recommend “Lily” as great option that suits a variety of skin tones.

PS. Don’t forget that you can sign up here to get a 20% off discount code for Beautycounter if you’re a new customer. It’s valid through April 30.

Jewelry Gift Ideas for Mom

I’ve rounded up some stud earrings, dainty pendant necklaces, and subtle bracelets that moms with a variety of tastes would enjoy.

DaySpring Cross Necklace in Promise Box: DaySpring sent me this dainty cross necklace last fall, and I’ve worn in so much. It comes in a nice wooden box with cards of encouragement and scripture too.

Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant: This necklace was my first ever piece of Kendra Scott jewelry, and it’s a classic piece any mom will love. While you can choose a variety of colors, you can’t go wrong with ivory mother of pearl. It literally goes with everything!

Kendra Scott Fern Pendant: This super-simple Kendra Scott necklace comes in gold, rose gold, and silver. And it’s under $50!

DaySpring Faith of a Mustard Seed Necklace: This double layered dainty pendant necklace from DaySpring is inspired by Matthew 17:20, and is only $25!

Kendra Scott Ari Heart Pendant: This Kendra Scott heart pendant necklace is a great token to show your mom how much you love her!

Kendra Scott Elaina Adjustable Chain Bracelet: This basic Kendra Scott bracelet goes with everything, and the adjustable chain makes it suitable for a variety fo wrist sizes. One of my fave Kendra pieces.

Kendra Scott Ellie Studs: I love these classic stud earrings from Kendra Scott, and they would make a great gift for any mom.

Kate Spade Heart of Gold Bangle: This basic gold bangle from Kate Spade has “Heart of Gold” engraved on the inside. I’ve actually had it for seven years, and think it would make a great Mother’s Day gift!

Tory Burch Logo Studs: These Tory Burch logo studs are some of my most frequently worn earrings, and recommend them as a great gift for your mom!

Coffee Mugs & Tumblers Mom Will Enjoy

If your mom likes coffee or hot tea, a nice mug makes a great gift. Here are my top picks:

Anthropologie Letter Mugs: Initial gifts are always a good idea, and Anthropologie has two great mug options. Choose from their classic monogram mug, or this colorful mug in collaboration with Rifle Paper Co.

Kate Spade Mugs: One of my favorite places for coffee mugs is Kate Spade. I particularly like the Laurel Street Mug and the Charlotte Street Mug as choices for Mother’s Day gifts. In addition, Kate Spade has this pretty blue ombre travel mug.

Draper James Gingham Mug: For the Southern mom, this blue gingham mug from Draper James is precious! It’s only $10, and it says “Hello Sugar” on it. There’s also this magnolia print mug from Draper James.

Lilly Pulitzer Tumbler: Technically not a coffee mug, but the Lilly Pulitzer insulated stemless tumblers are wonderful for your cold beverage of choice. I especially love the “Swizzle In” print.

Bags and Pouches

A nice bag or pouch is always a great gift idea, so I had to include some in my Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020. Here’s a few of my recommendations:

Draper James x Lands End Canvas Tote: This classic canvas tote is light blue with a pretty magnolia print.

Lilly Pulitzer Pouch Set: This set of three pouches features the “Swizzle In” Lilly Pulitzer print that I love. I feel like you an never have too many pouches for organizing various things.

Lilly Pulitzer Oasis Pouch: Another great pouch option from Lilly Pulitzer, featuring the “Lilly’s House” print.

Lilly Pulitzer Mercato Tote: This Lilly Pulitzer tote is on the pricier side, but the “Don’t Stop Beliefing” print (gotta love the play on words) is absolutely gorgeous!

Lilly Pulitzer Market Tote: This reusable shopping bag is extremely durable and good for a variety of uses. I have Lilly Pulitzer Market Totes that have held up for years. Also, I’ve given my mom these totes before and she loves them!

Lilly Pulitzer Cooler: This cylindrical Lilly Pulitzer cooler bag is especially great for toting drinks to the pool or beach!

Draper James Pouches: Draper James also has two adorable pouches. I especially love this “Pretty as a Peach” one. And this magnolia print one is only $25.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020 Home Items

Here’s a handful of home items any mom would enjoy as a Mother’s Day gift!

Lilly Pulitzer Fleece Blanket: I actually got this blanket for my mom for Christmas this past year, and she likes it. My parents’ cat has taken a liking to it as well!

Kate Spade Apron: I love this pink & white Kate Spade apron that says “Eat Cake for Breakfast.” I actually have a dish towel in this same design.

Picture Frames: Kate Spade has some gorgeous 4×6 and 5×7 picture frames. Get one of your favorite photos of you and your mom printed and put it inside, and you have an extra meaningful gift!

Kate Spade Coffee Table Book: If your mom likes to collect fun coffee table books, I recommend “Things We Love” by Kate Spade.

Kate Spade Cherry Kitchen Items: Kate Spade currently has a darling cherry print in some kitchen items. This prep board set and this hors d’oeuvres tray would both make great Mother’s Day gifts!
