Lilly for Pottery Barn

Note: See my updated Lilly Pulitzer for Pottery Barn post here for all the details on the 2019 collaboration.

The anticipated Lilly Pulitzer for Pottery Barn collaboration launched a little over a week ago. In my opinion, this was one of the smoother Lilly Pulitzer collaborations. I set my alarm for 2:50am EST on Friday, March 16, which was 10 minutes before the Lilly Pulitzer collection hit the Pottery Barn website. The homepage didn’t show the Lilly collaboration until a few minutes after 3:00am, but other than that everything went off without a glitch. I was able to purchase everything I wanted, and the website didn’t crash. Since I just purchased my first ever DSLR camera, I knew that I was going to have a small budget for Lilly for Pottery Barn.

Decision Making Time!

I was trying to decide between throw pillows and beach towels. Beach towels ended up winning, since I couldn’t find the Pink Lemonade print throw pillow I had seen in a preview ad. (I discovered later on it was actually a lumbar pillow only available with a wingback rocker that was around $1000. That definitely wasn’t happening!) There was a pineapple throw pillow I liked as well, but I wasn’t 100% sure if it would color coordinate with my existing decor. You are most likely to find me by the pool or on the beach during my spare time in the warm weather months. Therefore, I will get a ton of use out of the beach towels. I have a beach towel from the Lilly for Target collaboration three years ago that I love. It is still very pretty, but has faded a good bit from the sunlight and washing. I am hoping the Lilly for Pottery Barn towels hold their color better.

The print selection for Lilly for Pottery Barn beach towels is amazing. Lilly Pulitzer prints with a fruit motif are among my favorite. One of my towels features the Home Slice print (pineapples), and the other the Pink Lemonade print.

Super Fast Shipping

I ordered my towels in the wee hours on the morning on Friday, March 16, and I received them on Tuesday, March 21 with free standard shipping. Since it was in the 50s, wet, and gloomy on the official first day of spring, I was happy to receive these towels. They definitely put me in a sunnier state of mind despite the outside temperature and weather conditions. Now it needs to get warm enough to actually use the towels rather than just take pictures of them! Aren’t they so gorgeous & colorful?!

Home Slice

Here are some pictures of the Home Slice towel unrolled. I love how this one has white tassels and a white appliqué border at the edges. Home Slice beach towel is still available online.

Success!

I am very happy with my purchase from the Lilly for Pottery Barn collaboration. And unlike past Lilly collabs (I’m looking at you Lilly for Target and Lilly S’well for Starbucks), there is still plenty of product available more than a week after the launch date! Since the Pottery Barn website still has plenty, this means that there is not a market for the crazy eBay poachers to mark up pillows and beach towels.

What did y’all buy from the Lilly for Pottery Barn collaboration? Let me know in the comments! And if you haven’t bought anything yet, it’s not too late. Please note that if you go to the main Pottery Barn homepage, you will have to click on the Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen links in order to see all items in the collection.
