Hey y’all! Today I want to highlight three go-to pieces of jewelry in my collection that literally go with everything.
First of all, here’s a little background on the evolution of my jewelry preferences—in high school I barely wore any jewelry. (As mentioned in a previous post, I didn’t even get my ears pierced until after college.) Then in college and the first couple years afterward, I basically stuck to pearls, first pearl necklaces and then pearl stud earrings once I finally got my ears pierced. Pearls were my signature accessory, and I think a lot of people knew me as “the girl who always wore pearls.” I still love pearls and wear then periodically because they are a classic preppy staple, but I have since branched out tremendously in the jewelry department. Good news for versatility of outfit styling, not so great news for my wallet.
Even though I have a more diverse taste in jewelry now, I still tend to gravitate towards classic pieces that I can wear with a lot of different outfits. So with our further ado, here are three pieces of jewelry I constantly find myself reaching for when getting dressed in the morning. I mentioned these in my previous post, but I wanted to give more details about why I love them so much!
1. Sheila Fajl “Everyone’s Favorite Hoops”
This is probably Sheila Fajl’s signature piece in her jewelry line. These classic hoops are big and noticeable, but complement any outfit without being overpowering. I wear them with dresses to church and parties, with a Clemson jersey to football games, and with a casual top and shorts or jeans when I’m out and about around town. They are also A LOT higher than they look and don’t weigh your ears down. I’m wearing the classic gold in the picture at the top of this post, but I also have the exact same earrings in rose gold. I wear the rose gold ones just as often as the classic gold. As I mentioned before, I buy my Sheila hoops through Lydia Lister Jewelry, based out of Greenville, SC. I love being able to support a small business and a long-time friend of one of my dearest friends. You can order your Sheila hoops through Lydia’s website, and they meet the minimum for free shipping. If you’re in the Greenville, SC area though, I recommend going by and picking them up in person, because Lydia is the sweetest!
2. Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant in Ivory Mother of Pearl
Confession: I have literally just jumped on the Kendra Scott train in the past week. But this necklace has become a fast favorite (I’ve worn in multiple times already) and it also goes with anything. I first heard of Kendra Scott a few years back, but hadn’t bought anything from her collection because I thought she mainly had larger statement pieces, and I couldn’t justify the price point for something I would only wear every so often. Then I started admiring these small, dainty pendants I saw some of my friends and other girls wearing. One of my friends told me that Kendra Scott gives you a 50% discount off one piece during the month of your birthday if you show your driver’s license in-store. Well since I am a March baby I decided to cash in on this sweet discount. There are a lot of different color stones to choose from in the Elisa Pendant*, but I went with Ivory Mother of Pearl because the natural color will match everything. I debated between regular gold and rose gold chain and setting, but ended up going with regular gold. The simple, dainty design of the Elisa makes it wearable with a variety of outfits both casual and dressy. So I am now hooked on Kendra Scott and will definitely be adding to my collection in the future.

3. Bourbon & Boweties Pineapple Bangle
A few years go I saw this precious pineapple bangle from Bourbon & Boweties at a local boutique, Charlotte’s. I love anything with a fruit motif, especially pineapples (I mean they are part of the namesake of this blog!), so I couldn’t resist. The pineapple is fun and a little different, but the neutral metallic color mean it will match everything! I find myself grabbing this bracelet constantly during the spring and summer. Furthermore, Bourbon & Boweties is a really neat company. It took off when the founder, Carly Ochs, showed some jewelry she had hand made for family and friends to a local jewelry store in Charleston. Each piece of Bourbon & Boweties is still “Made by Proud Southern Hands.” You can check out more of their story here.
The best part about these pieces of jewelry—They are all relatively affordable! All three are under $75, and two of them are even under $50 (if you buy the Elisa Pendant in a Kendra Scott store during your birthday month)! And when you consider how versatile all three of these pieces are and how you can easily wear them multiple times a week, that makes the “cost per wear” super low.
Do y’all have any of these jewelry pieces? And I’d love to hear what some of your go-to jewelry is, so please comment below!
