Hey y’all-hope you’re having a great week. Awhile back it seemed like fall would never arrive here in the South. However, it did finally get here, and we’ve even had a few days that have felt more like winter! The past two weekends I’ve attended a Clemson football game in colder weather. One of those games was a nighttime game during the coldest weekend we’ve had since at least March. So today I want to share some college football game day style: the cold weather edition.

Cozy Sherpa Pullover in Your Team’s Colors
If you’ve been following me for any period of time, then you know I’m obsessed with Sherpa pullovers during cold weather. A Sherpa pullover in your team’s colors is my number one outfit recommendation for a cold weather football game. They are warm and cozy, but also cute. Two weeks ago I went to the Clemson game at NC State, and it didn’t kick-off until 7:30. Considering that was two hours after sundown on a day that was brisk to begin with, dressing warmly was a must. So, I wore my Lauren James Clemson Sherpa. Unfortunately, this exact Sherpa is no longer available, but Fanatics has some Clemson logo Sherpas here and here. You can easily search for a Sherpa with your team’s logo if you’re not a Clemson fan. They frequently have sales too.

Also, LL Bean has cozy pullovers you can either get in or accessorize with your team’s colors. FanatThey both have pullovers galore in a variety of colors. The following are more pictures that show how I styled my Lauren James Clemson Sherpa during a shoot with Amelia Cassar Photography last fall. However, I will share some snapshots from the actual game later in this post!
Other Outfit Details
I wore skinny jeans without any additional layers, but I brought a blanket into the stadium with me to add warmth to my lower half. I like to accessorize my Clemson Sherpa with a dainty necklace, like this Kate Spade initial pendant. However, I don’t think I even wore a necklace to the game a couple weeks ago since I knew I would have it zipped all the way up the whole time. Then I usually wear my basic Kendra Scott or Tory Burch studs when I’m bundling up for a game, because I don’t have to worry about them getting caught in any layers.
Although I wore my Ariat cowgirl boots for this shoot last year, I went with my LL Bean Boots for the game a couple weeks ago, since it was so cold! They have extra insulation plus are roomy enough for thick socks. Here’s a look at how I styled my Clemson Sherpa for the game a couple weeks ago. Note that my hat is no longer available, but Target and Old Navy are solid options for budget-friendly winter hats!
Closing Thoughts
Hope you enjoyed this post and that it gave you some good styling inspiration if you’re attending a football game in cold weather over the next several weeks!
In other news, I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only one week away! I’ve been going a mile a minute lately, so I’m honestly just as excited about having several days with a break from routine as I am the food. To be honest, there’s part of me that just wishes I could watch Disney+ and the Hallmark Channel for the remainder of the year.
Real talk-I feel like I’ve been pulled in so many different directions lately, and that I’m not doing any of it well. This is the first time in my adult life that I’ve simultaneously juggled a full-time job, two weekly Bible studies, blogging, a direct sales side hustle, and a mentoring program. Today I told my therapist that I feel like a failure for not being able to balance everything in my life well. Her response was, “You’re not a failure, you’re adjusting to change, and change can be hard.” Wanted to share that little glimpse into my therapy session in case someone else needs that encouragement today too.
