Featured Outfit: Lilly & Stripes

Hey y’all-happy hump day! I wanted to share this striped Lilly Pulitzer dress that I wore for brunch with a friend this past Sunday. It was really fun getting to catch up with one of my childhood friends I hadn’t seen in several months. We went to Watts Grocery in Durham-the first time there for both of us. It was delicious, and I highly recommend if you’re in the Raleigh/Durham area.

I’ve had this basic cotton striped Lilly Pulitzer dress for about five years now. It’s called the “Caleb Dress.” (I actually have this same style in solid black as well.) Although I absolutely love it, I can only wear it on mild temperature days. The aqua/coral/yellow color combination doesn’t look good with tights, so I can’t wear it when it’s cold out. But since the sleeves are more fitted, I don’t like to wear it when it is super hot outside, because sweat/deodorant stains are no fun! This past Sunday was perfect for wearing it though. The high was around 70 degrees, and it was probably closer to the upper 60s during the late morning/early afternoon. Although my dress is not currently available, Lilly Pulitzer does have this really cute and colorful striped dress in their current season.

Also, you may recognize my Kate Spade lemon pendant I featured in this post. This is seriously one of my favorite spring/summer accessories. It’s from a past season, but here’s a fun Kate Spade pendant currently available.
