Hey y’all! Hope you’re having a great week-happy hump day! So Halloween was a week ago, and some people have shifted into full-on Christmas mode. Although I had a gingerbread latte and got my free reusable Starbucks red cup last Friday, I typically continue to embrace fall up until the day after Thanksgiving. And honestly, fall finally feels like it’s in full force in central NC. This year summer lasted all through September and even into the first week of October, but it has consistently felt like fall for a few weeks now. Therefore, today I am rounding up my fall must-haves and sharing them with y’all! Even though fall will officially give way to the Christmas season in just over two weeks, these fall must-haves are still very useful during the coming winter months. So in no particular order, here we go!

1. Cowgirl Boots
Cowgirl boots have been one of my fall must-haves for years. If you’re in the market for cowgirl boots, I hands-down recommend the Ariat Heritage Western R-Toe boot. I love this boot so much I actually have two pairs. They are different shades of brown with different stitching patterns. Ariat is a well-known high quality cowgirl boot brand, but much more affordable than some other popular brands. The Heritage Western R-Toe boot is super comfy and durable. I have had one of my pairs for seven years, and the other for five years. Both pairs are still in great shape, and I’m not even as good about using leather conditioner on them as I should be! I also frequently get compliments on them.

These Ariat Heritage Western R-Toe boots have the same stitching pattern as the ones I’m wearing in the above photo. My other pair of Ariat boots look like these.
2. A Printed Scarf
If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably figured out by now that I love wearing printed scarves to add a pop of color to my outfits in the fall. Most of my scarves are by Lilly Pulitzer, and I love how this enables me to incorporate vibrant Lilly prints into my wardrobe while my summer Lilly sundresses hang out in my closet for the months between Labor Day and Easter. A lot of my favorite Lilly scarves are from past seasons, but I am absolutely loving the Pawsitive Cattitude scarf that Lilly made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year. Although it’s November now, the scarf is still available here. (You can read more about the collaboration Lilly did for breast cancer awareness here.)
The Lilly scarf I’m wearing in the photo below was the first Lilly scarf I ever got. It was Lilly’s Breast Cancer Awareness print back in 2010, and I won it in a raffle from The Pink Bee when I was living in Greenville, SC. Good news though-I found an excellent used condition one on Thred Up that you can shop here.

3. Cozy Sherpa Pullover
There are few things better on a chilly fall evening than pulling on my Lauren James Sherpa pullover. This is seriously the softest and coziest pullover ever! I will be sharing another post soon with additional pictures and details about why I love it so much. But I wanted to go ahead and make sure y’all knew that the Lauren James Sherpa pullover is one of my top fall must-haves. You can shop it here.

4. Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are my go-to denim for fall. They look flattering with both flats and boots, and they balance out a loose-fitting or flowy top. I prefer skinny jeans to boot cut jeans because they show off your boots rather than hiding them. I will do another post in the future where I elaborate more on the comfort, quality, and durability of my favorite jeans. The jeans I am wearing in the below picture are Citizens of Humanity. I have had them for nearly seven years now and they are so worth the investment!

5. Tory Burch Flats
During the fall, if I’m not wearing my cowgirl boots, I’m probably wearing my Tory Burch flats. Mine are the Reva Style, which Tory Burch no longer makes. However, Tory replaced the Reva flats with a basically identical style called the “Minnie.” The currently available Minnie looks the same as the Reva from the top and sides, but has a split sole that easily folds up for travel. I don’t own a pair of the Tory Burch Minnie flats yet, but I have heard they are more comfortable than the Revas. All of my Revas are still in good condition, so I will wait awhile before swapping them out for the Minnie. I have had these black Revas with the metallic Tory Burch logo for seven years now. Although Tory Burch flats are a bit pricy, they are worth the investment because they will last a long time if you take good care of them. Also, shoe shopping is a bit tricky for me since I have a narrow foot, but Tory Burch flats fit my little foot extremely well. You can shop the classic Tory Burch Minnie flats here.

6. Long Sleeve Oversized Graphic Tee
A comfy oversize long sleeve graphic tee is my go-to for fall loungewear or a casual gameday look. Lauren James has the best long sleeve tees for various schools, and I have multiple Clemson ones. My favorite is this gray tee that has Clemson’s official 2016 National Champions logo on the front pocket, and a licensed Lauren James design on the back commemorating the score of the game against Bama. Although Lauren James doesn’t currently have any long sleeve Clemson pocket tees in stock, they do have this long sleeve tee with the tiger paw logo on the front. Hopefully Clemson will win the National Championship again this season so that Lauren James will design another adorable commemorative graphic!
7. Puffer Vest
A puffer vest is another one of my fall must-haves. It’s perfect for keeping your core warm on those days where there’s a little bit of a chill, but not enough to warrant a heavy coat. I have a few puffer vests, and the most recent addition to my collection is a pink Lilly Pulitzer vest with a printed lining. This was one of my purchases from this fall’s After Party Sale. Another blog post with additional photos and details is in the works, but I wanted to give y’all a sneak peek as part of my fall essential round-up. Although Lilly is sold out of this particular vest, you can get my exact vest on Amazon here, and a similar vest on the Lilly website here.

8. Piko Top
Flowy Piko tops are one of my most frequently worn tops in the fall. They’re support soft and comfortable, and actually made of bamboo. I have multiple colors and they are so versatile. They look great with a printed scarf, a statement necklace, or a dainty necklace. You can shop different colors on the Piko website. The Piko top I’m wearing in the photo below is a perfect match for Carolina blue, so it’s great to wear to UNC games.
I hope y’all enjoyed reading about my fall must-haves. As I mentioned earlier, I will be sharing additional details about some of these in future blog posts. Now, I want to know what YOUR fall essentials are. Tell me in the comments! And if you decide to add any of my fall favorites to your wardrobe, please let me know if you love them as much as I do.
