Easter Dress Hunt 2018

It’s hard to believe that Easter is less than two weeks away! (Especially because we had snow flurries in central North Carolina this morning. Come on Spring, where are you?!) The most important part about this holiday is celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and triumph over death, and the hope for eternal life that all who accept Him as their Lord & Savior have!

Of secondary importance though, is deciding on the perfect Easter dress. This year I plan on wearing something that is already in my closet. (I just bought a new camera and I am literally running out of room in my closet, so I’m trying to keep clothes shopping to a minimum right now!) I haven’t decided if I’m going for a printed Lilly Pulitzer dress or a solid seersucker Lauren James dress. The picture below is from Easter 2015, when I wore one of my favorite printed Lilly shifts (the Liz Shift in Sunnyside—love that I share a name with a Lilly dress) with my Lilly hat (which was a special edition gift with purchase from Lilly’s Spring 2013 line).

In case y’all are looking to buy a new dress to wear for Easter festivities, here are some of my favorite picks among dresses that are currently available online.

Lauren James Solid Seersucker Harper Dress
This is definitely one of my top picks for anyone trying to decide on the perfect Easter dress. It comes in multiple colors, and one of the four colors in my closet could potentially be making an appearance on Easter morning if I decide to go the seersucker route. For more details on the styling versatility the Lauren James Harper dress provides,  check out my previous post.

Here are some more great options for Easter dresses:

Lilly Pulitzer Sophie Dress in Home Slice
This fun pink & green pineapple print is my favorite currently on the Lilly site, and the sleeves on this dress are convenient if it’s a little bit chilly on Easter morning.

Lilly Pulitzer Harper Shift Dress in Pelican Pink Pop Up Simply Chic
If you’re looking for a classic printed Lilly shift to wear this Easter, this dress is my favorite style and print among shift dresses currently on the Lilly site.

Lauren James Bailey Dress
I adore the classic shift dress style, yellow color, ruffles down the front, and seersucker of course!

Southern Tide Chelsea Scallop Dress
How cute is the scallop hem on this?! I love the color as well!

Target “A New Day” Scallop Sleeve Crepe Dress
This one is a great option if you want something new but are on a budget. I have a few things from Target’s “A New Day” line that launched last August, and the quality is excellent. It’s seriously like something you would get at a boutique!

Crown & Ivy V-Back Seersucker Dress
Here’s another cute and classic seersucker dress option, and it’s currently on sale at Belk. I have never bought anything from Crown & Ivy before, but one of my friends got a Crown & Ivy dress from Belk for her Easter dress a couple years ago and it was really pretty.

As some final inspiration, here’s what I wore for Easter last year (2017)—a Lilly Pulitzer Liz Shift in Crazy Cat House. That’s right, I love the style and fit of the Liz Shift so much I bought it in two different prints! I didn’t actually wear my Lilly hat to church last year, but thought it made for a nice addition to the photo opp.

I’d love to hear what y’all are wearing for Easter this year!
