Hey y’all- hope you had a good weekend. It’s hard to believe October is almost over. I’m definitely not one of those people who switches into full-on Christmas mode the day after Halloween. Rather, I wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving to break out the Christmas music and decor. However, I know many people are already thinking about holiday shopping, so I’m releasing my first 2020 holiday gift guide today. I will continue to post additional gift guides throughout November. Today’s gift guide features clean beauty gift ideas for 2020!
I’m sharing this gift guide first because a lot of the items will be on sale well before Black Friday. Most of my clean beauty gift ideas come from Beautycounter or Sephora. Beautycounter is offering first-time customers 20% off (excluding limited edition gift sets) through October 31. (Please email me to find out how to snag this deal.) Then the Sephora VIB sale starts on October 30 for Rouge members (20% off), November 3 for VIB members (15% off), and November 5 for Insiders (10% off).

Why Clean Beauty Gifts?
Before I dive into my clean beauty gift ideas for 2020, I want to share why I recommend clean beauty items, rather than any beauty item out there. The US hasn’t passed a major federal law regulating ingredient safety in cosmetics in over 80 years. As a result, many beauty products on shelves contain known or potential irritants, hormone disrupters, and carcinogens. Using products with these chemicals every once in awhile won’t necessarily harm you. However, the cumulative effect of using them day after day can negatively impact your health. (For more info on why I switched to clean beauty products, check out this post.)
Fortunately, I’ve found multiple clean beauty brands that formulate their products without many of the harmful or questionable ingredients found in traditional beauty products. The best part is that you don’t have to sacrifice performance when you use clean beauty products. In fact, the safer products I use are so amazing and honestly so much fun to use that I don’t even miss my old stuff! It’s my pleasure to recommend gifts for the beauty fanatics in your life that they will love and that are good for them!
Now, here are my clean beauty gift ideas for 2020. I’ve divided them into three categories: makeup, skincare, and self care.
Clean Beauty Gift Ideas: Makeup
Any makeup junkie will be happy to receive these clean makeup products this Christmas season!
The Beautycounter Beyond Gloss Trio is a limited edition gift set that contains three full-size Beautycounter lip glosses. The shades are Wild Berry, Iris Shimmer, and Lilac Shimmer. Although the Beyond Gloss Trio is not included in the 20% off new customer promo, it’s still an amazing value because you’re getting three lip glosses for less than the price of two! This is packaged in a gorgeous gift box. In addition, the Beyond Gloss Trio is great to break apart and gift to three different people.
The Beautycounter Jellies are flavored lip glosses that come in the most adorable tube. They give your lips a subtle shine and shimmer. But the main attraction is the Stevia-sweetened flavors. The Jellies-Shimmers gift set comes in Caramel, Honey, Cocoa, Peppermint, and Sorbet. This is another set that’s perfect to break apart, giving you five cost effective gifts. The Jellies were a popular limited edition set from last year’s Beautycounter Holiday collection, and I’m so glad they’re back this year!
This Beautycounter all-in-one palette includes four eyeshadow shades, a blush shade, and a highlighter shade. There’s also a convenient pull-out mirror that you can hang on to even after you use up the palette. Since most of the shades in this palette are neutral, they will work on a variety of skin tones, making this a foolproof gift option for any makeup lover. Also, this palette would be super convenient for travel once it becomes more widespread again!
The Golden Hour All-In-One Palette also contains responsibly sourced mica, and 10% of the proceeds benefit Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation. This organization works with local communities in India to promote the safety and human rights of those involved in mica mining. Mica is what gives makeup its shimmer, but unfortunately the mica mining industry is notorious for human rights violations. This is why Beautycounter is committed to making sure their mica comes from mines with ethical practices!
Beautycounter Sheer Genius Conditioning Lipstick features a creamy formula with rich color payoff that won’t dry your lips out! In addition, ethically sourced vanilla gives it an amazing flavor. With 12 different shades ranging from neutral to bold, there’s something to please any lip color junkie. Bonus: The Beautycounter Sheer Genius Conditioning Lipstick is included in the 20% off promo for new customers!
Clean Beauty Gift Ideas: Skincare
Treat your recipient to high quality skincare with these clean beauty gift ideas!
The Beautycounter Bright Side Duo comes with a half-size Overnight Resurfacing Peel and half-size All Bright C Serum. Both of these products help brighten skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots. The Overnight Resurfacing Peel also provides chemical exfoliation and helps even out skin tone, while the All Bright C Serum provides antioxidant protection for anti-aging benefits. Overnight Resurfacing Peel and All Bright C Serum work with all skin types and are great add-ons to any skincare regimen. The Bright Side Duo comes in a beautiful hot pink gift box, and is a great way for your recipient to try two of Beautycounter’s best-selling products!
Drunk Elephant The Littles set makes a wonderful gift for any skincare junkie because it lets them try eight different premium skincare items in mini sizes. The Littles also comes with a cheery bright orange cosmetic bag. The Littles includes Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser, Protini Moisturizer, Marula Facial Oil, C-Firma Day Serum, TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, B-Hydra Intense Hydration Serum, C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream, and Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Sunscreen. There are enough products in this set to let your recipient test out a full morning and nighttime skincare routine with Drunk Elephant. In addition, The Littles comes with Smoothie Recipe Cards that feature recommendations for mixing different Drunk Elephant products.
I love using The Littles for a quality travel skincare routine. You can read more of my thoughts on Drunk Elephant skincare in this post. You can save anywhere from 10-20% on Drunk Elephant products during the upcoming Sephora sale!
Drunk Elephant Firmy The Day Kit is a limited edition set that includes a full-sized C-Firma Day Serum, mini D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops, mini B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum, mini Protini Polypeptide Cream, and mini Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF. It comes in a fun gift box and a bonus compact mirror as well. Basically, you are getting four mini products and a compact mirror for only $8 more than the cost of buying the full-sized C-Firma alone. So this is a great value gift for anyone who loves premium skincare products.
Drunk Elephant Softy The Baby Set gives your recipient essentials for baby soft skin! This limited edition set includes a full-sized Baby Facial, which is a potent AHA/BHA chemical exfoliator mask you use one night a week. I use the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial once a week as part of my skincare routine, and really like it. The Drunk Elephant Softy Set also includes a few mini products as well: Beste Jelly Cleanser, Marula Facial Oil, and F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial. There’s also a compact mirror and fun gift box, and you’re getting all these bonus items for only $8 more than the cost of Baby Facial alone. I am buying this set during the Sephora sale!
Drunk Elephant Glowy The Night Kit is a limited edition set with staples for a nighttime skincare routine. It includes a full-sized TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, half-size E-Rase Milki Micellar Water, a mini Beste Jelly Cleanser, mini Lala Retro Whipped Cream Moisturizer, and mini F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial. The bonus compact mirror and gift box are part of the set as well!
Drunk Elephant Dewy The Polypeptide Kit features skincare staples to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and give you a dewy complexion. The Dewy Kit includes a full-sized Protini Polypeptide Cream (my go-to nighttime moisturizer), a mini A-Passioni Retinol Cream, mini B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum, and a mini Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser with bamboo booster. The fun compact mirror and gift box are part of this set too. Since I will eventually need to buy another Protini moisturizer, I plan to buy the Dewy Kit during the Sephora sale as well, because I get the minis and cute mirror for only $8 more than the moisturizer alone!
The Beautycounter Polish & Protect Lip Duo gift set has a lip polish to exfoliate your lips, and a lip balm to moisturize. These products are making an encore appearance from last year’s Beautycounter Holiday collection. The lip polish has an amazing peppermint flavor, and the lip balm moisturizes and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Also, how amazing is this hot pink gift box?!
I recently discovered my new favorite face mask, the Primally Pure Clarifying Mask. This helps detoxify oily or blemish-prone skin, and I love how it feels on. Perfect for a relaxing self care night at home! Primally Pure also has a Soothing Mask and a Plumping Mask. And if your recipient is really into face masks, you can buy a gift set of all three Primally Pure face masks. Plus, you can save 10% on your first Primally Pure order with code LS10.
Primally Pure lip balm comes in five different flavors: grapefruit, creamsicle, peppermint, cocoa, and lavender. At only $4 each, these make a great stocking stuffer or an add-on to any gift. They are also great if you have a lot of friends you want to buy something for, but a small budget. Save 10% with code LS10.
Clean Beauty Gift Ideas: Self Care
This last portion of my clean beauty gift ideas for 2020 is my favorite, because it’s all about products that will help you indulge in some self care. And let’s be honest-we’re ALL in need of a little extra self care as this crazy year winds down! You can’t go wrong with these self care clean beauty gift ideas in 2020!
The Beautycounter Ultimate Renewal Bath Set is probably my favorite of the 2020 Beautycounter Holiday Collection. It includes a Dry Brush, Sugar Buff Body Polish, and Hydrating Body Oil. Before your bath or shower, you run the dry bush over your body in the direction towards your heart. This helps with exfoliation and improves circulation. Then while you’re in the bath or shower, you rub the Sugar Buff Body Polish over damp skin for exfoliation. It has an amazing lemongrass scent. Afterwards, you apply the Body Oil to lock in hydration. The Body Oil has a lovely rosewater scent, and I really hope Beautycounter makes it part of their regular line! This is my top gift recommendation for anyone in need of some extra self care!
The Beautycounter Good Glow Body Duo includes a jar of the Sugar Buff Body Polish, along with a Body Glow Illuminating Lotion. The Illuminating Lotion is a limited edition product that provides a sheer and subtle shimmer with ethically sourced mica. You really can’t go wrong with this gift set for anyone. In fact, The Today Show included the Good Glow Body Duo in their gift guide!
The Beautycounter Citrus Mimosa Body Lotion was one of the first Beautycounter products I tried, and it remains one of my favorites. This hydrating lotion has a delicious citrusy scent, and it’s perfect for soothing dry skin from the upcoming colder weather! Like all Beautycounter products, the amazing scent of this lotion comes without any artificial fragrance containing harmful ingredients. The Citrus Mimosa body lotion is included in the 20% off promo for new customers!
The Beautycounter Melting Body Balm melts into an oil as you apply to your skin, and it literally smells like a tropical vacation. A great way to get a taste of the tropics during this season of limited travel! The Melting Body Balm is richer than the lotion, and is especially great for extra dry spots. This is part of the 20% off new customer promo as well! In addition, the Melting Body Balm won a 2019 Allure Best of Beauty Award!
The Beautycounter Citrus Mimosa Body Wash is another one of my all-time favorite Beautycounter products. In addition to a lovely citrus scent, it lathers well. One bottle lasts me at least a few months. This body wash makes my showers feel extra luxurious! You can also grab this perfect self care gift for 20% off through October 31 if you’re new to Beautycounter.
The Drunk Elephant Head to Toe Littles includes a travel size of all seven products in Drunk Elephant’s new Hair & Body collection that launched earlier this year. They come in a clear neon yellow travel case. A Drunk Elephant branded neon yellow acrylic comb also comes in this set. This clean beauty gift idea for 2020 will please a variety of recipients.
Drunk Elephant Sili Body Lotion has a very light cherry almond scent, and is another quality body lotion with clean ingredients to gift for some extra self care.
Similar to the body lotion, Drunk Elephant Kamili Cream Body Cleanser has the same light cherry almond scent, and definitely enhances a relaxing hot shower.
Primally Pure has two different varieties of bath salts: Sea Soak and Flower Bath. Sea Soak contains peppermint, spearmint, and eucalyptus essential oils. It relaxes sore muscles and provides nutrients to skin. Flower Bath has lavender and geranium essential oils. It detoxifies, soothes, and relaxes. I recently tried both, and Flower Bath is definitely the most aromatic. I’ve been trying to take more baths lately as a form of self care and relaxation. The Primally Pure Bath Salts are a great clean beauty gift idea for anyone who likes to wind down with a warm bath! You can save 10% off your first Primally Pure order with code LS10.
The Drunk Elephant Hair & Body Trunk includes full sizes of all seven of Drunk Elephant’s Hair & Body Line: Cocomino Glossing Shampoo, Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner, Kamili Cream Body Cleanser, Sili Body Lotion, Sweet Pitti Deodorant, Wild Marula Tangle Spray, and TLC Happi Scalp Scrub. In addition, you get a bright yellow waterproof shower caddy, neon acrylic comb, hair ties, and dry bush. This makes a great gift for anyone in need of some extra self care with clean hair & body products!
The Beautycounter Hand Cream Trio includes three 1.5 oz hand creams in aromatherapeutic scents: Calm, Uplight, and Balance. These scents are refreshing but not too overpowering, and are the perfect size to throw in your bag for hydrated hands on the go, especially with all the extra hand-washing due to COVID. Holiday Hand Cream Trio is another Beautycounter gift set that’s also great to break up for cost effective gifts to three different recipients.
The Beautycounter Body Butter Trio comes in the exact same aromatherapeutic scents as the the Hand Cream Trio. However, the Body Butter is a thicker cream. It’s great for moisturizing all over. I think the packaging on the Body Butter is gorgeous-the gold lids look so fancy. This is another set that works well to break up and gift to multiple people.
