Hey y’all! A few weeks ago I had some friends over for a Disney movie night. I wore this fitted v-neck Mickey Mouse shirt I got on my 2015 Disney World trip. Since this tee is the epitome of classic Disney style, I definitely wanted to feature it on Palmettos & Pineapples. One of my friends has recently picked up photography as a hobby, so we had a little photo shoot for my blog before watching 101 Dalmatians.
T-shirts are always one of my favorite souvenirs to get at Disney World. (I will be doing a post in the future all about souvenir shopping at Disney World.) This tee has Mickey Mouse in his classic pose, plus the Walt Disney World logo. Therefore, I thought it was the perfect representation of my happy place. Mickey t-shirts are acceptable anywhere, not just inside the Disney Parks. In fact, wearing a Disney World tee around your hometown is the perfect reminder of the most magical place on earth while going about your everyday routine.
Just Add Ears
If you wanted to wear this shirt in the Disney Parks, it would look great with the classic red & black sequin Minnie Mouse ears. Although I would opt for a sleeveless top or looser shirt on a super hot day at Disney World, this shirt would totally work for a day at Disney in milder temperatures. Even though I’m hundreds of miles away from Disney World, we still snapped a few pics of me wearing the Minnie ears with this ensemble. And I had zero shame. Since it’s not socially acceptable to wear mouse ears outside of Disney World unless you’re going to a costume party of some sort, I was going to at least wear them for a photo shoot.
Kate Spade x Minnie Mouse Collection
I love the Kate Spade Minnie Mouse collection. This mini pendant necklace* is one of my favorite ways to incorporate classic Disney Style into my outfit even when I’m hundreds of miles away from Walt Disney World. It adds a very subtle touch of Disney to any outfit.
Complete Outfit Details
Since it was a little bit cooler, I also carried this Vince Camuto jacket I found at TJ Maxx awhile back. (You might remember it from this post.)
