Christmas 2018 Favorites

Merry Christmas! Hope y’all have had a wonderful day filled with loved ones, great food, and relaxation! Today I’m sharing a round-up of some miscellaneous Christmas things I’ve been loving over the past several weeks. I just love all the festive things associated with this time of year! Here’s my Christmas 2018 Favorites:

Starbucks Re-usable Red Cup

I usually don’t get Starbucks holiday drinks before Thanksgiving. However, I made an exception this year the first week of November when Starbucks gave away a free re-usable red cup with purchase of a holiday beverage. I have been able to take this reusable red cup in after 2:00pm and save 50 cents on a grande gingerbread latte. (Any grande holiday beverage qualifies for this promo!)

I finally got my hands on a Lilly stocking this year, thanks to Cyber Monday gift with purchase promo that didn’t require spending a fortune. I wanted to get a couple things in the adorable new Hanging with My Boo panda print, so it worked out perfectly that I got a fun printed Lilly stocking for free.

Christmas Decorations at The Carolina Inn

Christmas 2018 Favorites

I achieved my Christmas Bucket list goal to go see the Christmas decorations at the Carolina Inn. This was my first time in several years going over there at Christmas, and I got to take some fun and festive photos with Amelia Cassar Photography. She also got some great shots of the decorations, like the above photo.

As a single woman, it can be hard sometimes not having a family of my own to take Christmas card pictures with. Although I didn’t want to mail out cards with a picture of just me, it was still fun to get dressed up in one of my new favorite Christmas outfits and take some holiday style photos for the blog! You can see more pictures from this festive shoot here.

Santa Cow at Chick-fil-a

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that I had the opportunity to meet Santa Cow at Chick-fil-a last week. This is an item on my Christmas Bucket List that I was really hoping to check off, and I’m so glad I did! Many thanks to one of my friends for letting me know which Chick-fil-a he would be making an appearing at, and another friend for meeting me for dinner the night he was at Chick-fil-a. Elf Cow was there too!

Jadelynn Brooke Long-sleeved Rudolph Tee

Earlier this year I did a post on my love for Jadelynn Brooke’s soft tees with cute preppy designs. This year they came out with the most adorable Rudolph tee. I love the aqua color, and it’s too cute how they added a red nose and Santa hat to the classic Jadelynn Brooke deer logo.

Yasso Holiday Flavors

Yasso Holiday Flavors

When I first heard Yasso made Peppermint Crunch and Sugar Cookie flavors for their frozen Greek yogurt bars this Christmas season, I knew I wanted to try them. At first they seemed elusive. But after searching for a couple weeks, I finally found them at one of my local Targets. The Sugar Flavor is definitely my favorite of Yasso’s Christmas flavors. There are bits of Sugar Cookie dough and red & green sprinkles!

Christmas Eve Moravian Lovefeast

As I mentioned in my Christmas Bucket List blog post earlier this month, the Christmas Eve Moravian Lovefeast is one of my absolute favorite Christmas traditions. It definitely didn’t disappoint this year. The love buns and coffee are so delicious, but it’s even sweeter how this service reflects on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus. He came to this world to be a great light to the people walking in darkness. He is the ultimate Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. So often I look to other people and things to be my peace, my counsel, and my god. I have to constantly remind myself that only Jesus himself can ultimately fulfill these roles in my life. It’s easier said than done, but thankful His grace is enough!

Thanks for reading, and hope y’all enjoyed this little glimpse at some of my Christmas 2018 favorites. Hope y’all had a very merry day. And if this Christmas was difficult for you for any reason, take heart that the light of Christ is brighter than whatever darkness you are walking through right now. And that is reason to celebrate even when it doesn’t feel like it.

When I was a kid, I used to be so sad for December 25 to come to an end, because it meant there was another whole year before it would come around again. As an adult, I definitely don’t feel this way at all, because I continue celebrating all the way until New Year’s Day. So my tree will stay up, and the Christmas movies will continue playing (except when I’m watching big college football games) for another week.

What was one of the best things about your Christmas?
