Hey y’all-hope you had a good weekend! I was thankful to enjoy some more beach time, and it was hard to leave. Pin It: Beautycounter at Sephora
Clean at Sephora
Sephora owns 35% of the prestige beauty market, and they are becoming increasingly committed to offering clean beauty options to their customers. On Sephora’s website, you will find a green “Clean at Sephora” seal on select products. Sephora uses a list of over 50 banned ingredients to determine which products get the “Clean at Sephora” designation. These ingredients include drying sulfates, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, and undisclosed synthetic fragrances. While the “Clean at Sephora” criteria is a great starting point for choosing safer beauty products. Beautycounter goes beyond these standards, banning 1800 harmful or questionable ingredients from their products. Since Sephora actually reached out to Beautycounter about doing a partnership, this illustrates the leader in beauty’s further commitment to clean beauty!
Beautycounter at Sephora Timeline
The Beautycounter products included in this partnership are now available on Sephora.com. Then they will debut in Sephora stores in early August. The Beautycounter x Sephora pop-up will continue through October 30, 2020. All of the Beautycounter products sold at Sephora will have the exact same packaging and pricing as those sold directly from the Beautycounter website. If you order a Beautycounter product from Sephora during this limited edition partnership, it will ship directly from Sephora. In addition, it will include a special insert about Beautycounter’s mission to get safer products in the hands of everyone!
Beautycounter Products Available at Sephora
The Sephora partnership features 11 Beautycounter skincare products, which I will share more about below. They tried to include an assortment of products from Beautycounter’s three main skincare lines, plus add-ons that work for all skincare types. I’ve included links to both Sephora’s website and my Beautycounter website.
One advantage of ordering directly through Beautycounter is you can save 20% on all these products (with the exception of the Vitamin C serum) if you’re a first-time customer. In addition, Sephora has a 30-day return policy, whereas Beautycounter’s is 60 days. However, if you prefer to shop through Sephora this go-round, that’s absolutely fine! And if you love the products, I would love to help you with re-ordering once the limited edition Sephora partnership ends!
Here’s the 11 Beautycounter products in the Sephora collaboration (I’ve included an asterisk* by the products I use regularly):
1. Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser*
I use this as my nightly cleanser. Contains salicylic acid and is great for oily and/or acne-prone skin.

2. Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream*
This oil-free moisturizer is perfect for providing adequate moisture to your skin without clogging pores or making your face shiny. Even if you have oily skin, it’s important not to skip a moisturizer because that can actually make your skin produce even more oil! I use this as my daytime moisturizer during the warmer months.

3. Countermatch Refreshing Foaming Cleanser
This is one of Beautycounter’s new products that just launched this past spring. If you have normal, dry, or combination skin, it’s a great option for a foaming cleanser.

4. Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
This moisturizer literally adapts to your skin’s needs to provide it with optimal moisture levels. Beautycounter’s Countermatch line provides advanced hydration and age prevention. Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion is a great moisturizer choice if you have normal or combination skin.

5. Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum*
This anti-aging serum contains a plant-based safer alternative to retinol. If you want the anti-aging benefits of retinol but have issues with retionoids irritating your skin, this serum would be perfect for you. And unlike retinol, it’s typically safe to use while pregnant or nursing. Definitely get clearance from your doctor before using any skincare products with pregnant or breastfeeding though. I use this serum several nights a week as part of my nighttime skincare routine. This lasts awhile too. I’m just now finishing up the same jar I purchased almost a year ago! (Note that if you use this serum in the mornings as well, you will need to replace more frequently).

6. Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream
Since my skin is on the oilier side, I haven’t used this particular product. However, it gets rave reviews as a game-changer if you have dry and/or mature skin. Since this is a heavy cream, it’s meant to be a nighttime moisturizer. In addition, it contains the same anti-aging retinol alternative as the serum.

7. Counter+ No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil
The Counter+ Brightening Facial Oil can be an add-on to any skincare routine. You can use it in place of a moisturizer, or add a few drops to your moisturizer. I don’t use this particular product a ton since I’ve found I need to use facial oils sparingly. But if you’re looking for a good facial oil, this is definitely worth checking out. I have tried it, and it smells amazing, like fresh-squeezed oranges!

8. Counter+ All Bright C Serum*
This is Beautycounter’s Vitamin C serum. It just launched in late April, and was so popular it sold out within three weeks of its debut! A Vitamin C serum is a great addition to your morning skincare routine if you’re looking for anti-aging benefits and a brighter, more even skin tone. The All Bright C Serum contains protective antioxidants and brightens and firms skin. Plus, Beautycounter uses an extra stable form of Vitamin C in their serum. I definitely feel like my skin has an extra glow since I started using a Vitamin C serum every morning a couple months ago!

9. Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel*
The Overnight Resurfacing Peel is one of Beautycounter’s hero products, and one of the first Beautycounter items I tried! It contains a combination of resurfacing and soothing acids to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and increase cell turnover to reveal a brighter and more even-toned appearance. I use this as part of my nighttime routine a few nights a week, and one jar will last you awhile!

10. Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm*
Beautycounter’s best-selling cleansing balm multitasks as a makeup remover, cleanser, and overnight hydrating mask. I use this nightly as the first step in my double cleanse, especially if I’m wearing makeup. This feels so luxurious on my skin. While it’s one of Beautycounter’s pricier items, one jar lasts forever. I’m still on the same jar I opened five months ago!
Sephora | Beautycounter
11. Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer*
Dew Skin provides very sheer coverage, evens out skin tone, and gives you a subtle glow. It also contains SPF 20. Dew Skin comes in six different shades, but is forgiving because it’s so sheer. Shade 2 is the best color for me. I can get away with wearing Shade 3 as well, but feel like No. 2 is a better option for my skin tone year-round. A tube of Dew Skin typically lasts me around six months or so with daily use.

How to Get Beautycounter at Sephora Products for Free
As promised, I’m now going to tell you how you can potentially get some of the Beautycounter products being offered in the Sephora partnership for either free or 50% off! If you host a Beautycounter Pop-Up anytime between now and the end of October, you can earn some of the Sephora partnership products for free depending on sales! I am currently booking online Pop-Ups via Zoom and/or Facebook. This is a great time to get some girlfriends together for a virtual spa party to learn more about clean beauty and why it’s important! I also place an emphasis on education during my Pop-Ups, because Beautycounter is so much more than just amazing skincare! With a Pop-Up, I will do all the work in getting it set up. All you need to do is invite your friends!
Depending on how many sales your Pop-Up generates, you may earn up to five free products AND five 50% off products. The following products are available as free hostess rewards for Pop-Ups: Countermatch Foaming Cleanser, Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion, Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum, Countertime Adaptive Moisture Lotion, Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream, Overnight Resurfacing Peel, Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm, Brightening Facial Oil, and Dew Skin. This is huge, because the retail value of many of these products is higher than the retail value of products typically offered as free hostess rewards!
Also, if you’re not up for hosting an online Pop-Up, but have friends or family who would be interested in Beautycounter, I can set up a special referral link for you. Once I set up the link, you can send it to friends and family. When they shop through your link, their purchases can help you earn free or 50% off products!
If you’re interested in either hosting an online Pop-Up or getting a customized referral link, please email me for additional details!
Why I’m Excited about the Beautycounter at Sephora Pop-Up
I’m super excited about the Beautycounter at Sephora Pop-Up because it will help bring brand awareness and Beautycounter’s mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone to an even wider audience! People who are big Sephora fans but don’t necessarily prioritize clean products will now have an opportunity to learn more about Beautycounter and how this partnership aligns with Sephora’s growing commitment to clean beauty. Since people look to Sephora for current beauty trends, then the pop-up with Beautycounter will highlight the importance of clean beauty!
Furthermore, I realize many people are skeptical of direct sales companies, and might have chosen not to shop with Beautycounter because of this. I wholeheartedly believe that Beautycounter is different from other direct sales companies. Yet, I realize other people have received way too many “hey girl” cold messages from strangers on Instagram wanting them to “join my team.” This in turn has turned them off from all MLMs. (Believe me, I cringe every time I receive one of these messages, and wish all direct sales consultants would just stop using this tactic!) However, I feel that the Beautycounter partnership with Sephora will show skeptics that Beautycounter is in fact different from other MLMs! As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, Sephora actually initiated this collaboration! In addition, Fast Company and CNBC are talking about the Beautycounter at Sephora Pop-up!
