April 2019 Favorites

Hey y’all-it’s hard to believe that another month has flown by! I seriously can’t believe it’s already May. This means we are 1/3 of the way through 2019, although it feels like the year just started. Anyways, another month passing by means it’s time for another monthly favorites post. It’s always fun to share a few things I’ve been loving lately, so here goes my April 2019 favorites.

Jack Rogers Palm Beach Sandals

Jack Rogers Navy & White Palm Beach Sandals

I still feel beyond blessed to have the opportunity to be a Jack Rogers Brand Ambassador. As part of my Ambassador perks, I received a Jack Rogers gift card this month. I used it during the big spring sale they had over Easter weekend. These navy & white Palm Beach sandals are one of the pairs that I picked out. This is the first pair of classic leather Jacks I’ve ever gotten that has not been metallic. I picked them out because they are different from any other pair of Jacks I’ve ever owned, but will still go with a lot of things. I’ve already worn them a few times! You can shop all Jack Rogers here.

Jack Rogers Pearlized Pewter Georgica Jellies

The other pair of Jack Rogers I got with my gift card are these Pearlized Pewter Georgica Jellies.  I know I’ve mentioned on Instagram before that I like the Jelly Jacks because they are waterproof, but at the same time aren’t obvious pool/beach shoes. While I wouldn’t wear Jelly Jacks to a formal event, they are definitely a notch above your standard flip flops. I already had a pair of bright pink Jack Rogers jellies, but really needed a neutral pair. So I choose the pearlized pewter color, and I’m very happy with it. I like to wear my Jack Rogers Georgica Jellies when there’s a chance of rain, so that I don’t have worry about water damaging my nice leather sandals.

Minnie Mouse Kids’ Plate

One of my good friends gave this to me as a belated birthday present, and I absolutely love it! My food preferences resemble those of a preschooler a lot of the time, so this is perfect for me. Can anyone else relate?! The Minnie Mouse kids’ plate is especially great for my Sam’s Club Chicken Nuggets that taste like Chick-fil-a (originally featured in my February Favorites). I eat these for dinner a few nights a week.

Touch of Disney World

The same friend who gave me the Minnie Mouse plate also brought me a thoughtful souvenir from her recent trip to Disney World- this Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival notebook. How cute is that Minnie Mouse design?! Since I’m not able to make it to Disney World as often as I would like, it’s nice when friends bring a touch of the parks home with them and share with me!

Aerie Pink Seersucker Bikini

So I have a pink seersucker bikini top I got back in 2015. We’ve had some good times and made some great memories together, including a pool day at Disney World. Although it’s still in decent condition and wearable, the white sections of the seersucker are staring to look a bit dingy due to a few summers worth of sunscreen stain accumulation. So when I saw Cue the Coffee post the most adorable pink seersucker bikini from Aerie on her blog and Instagram, I decided it was time to remove my beloved pink seersucker bikini top from the regular rotation and replace it with this new one. I also bought the matching bottoms as well. They provide decent coverage, which seems to be hard to come by with bikini bottoms these days. Shop the bikini top here, and bikini bottom here.

As a bonus, Aerie was having a 50% off swimwear sale when I bought this. I will be doing a full post on Summer 2010 swimwear soon, but for now definitely keep an eye on Aerie. Although their full-price swimsuits are less than some brands, their sales make it possible to get an Aerie bathing suit for about the same price as Target. Aerie bikini tops and bottoms are actually buy one, get one free right now. Furthermore, Aerie is very proactive about promoting body positivity by including models of a variety of shapes and sizes.

Beautycounter

Becoming a Beautycounter consultant was definitely one of the biggest highlights of April 2019. I’m incredibly proud to be part of this amazing company that is working to get safer personal care products in the hands of everyone. Plus Beautycounter doesn’t compromise performance either. I’ve already shared extensively about why I joined Beautycounter, which you can read about here. In addition, you can read more about some of the fabulous products I’ve tried so far here. Shop all things Beautycounter here.

Gap Loungewear

I had a Gap Rewards certificate that was about to expire, so I cashed it in for some new pieces of Gap loungewear. I got some light purple seersucker ruffle sleep shorts, which have quickly become my new favorite pair of pj shorts. Unfortunately these particular shorts are almost sold out, but you can shop the same style in a different pattern here.

I also got these Gap Dreamwell Wide Leg lounge pants, and I highly recommend them. They are super soft and comfortable for wearing to sleep or simply to lounge around the house. Gap is one of my go-tos for loungewear, so I was happy to get some new pieces!

I shared more pictures in this post, but I want to reiterate how much I love my new Lauren James raincoat that doubles as a spring jacket. You can shop this adorable raincoat here, and save 15% with code PINEAPPLE15.

Bible Study Fellowship Share Night

Last night my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class had our last large group meeting before we break for the summer. During this time, members of the class took turns sharing how our study of People of the Promised Land impacted them and what God taught them through it. Here are a few things that God showed me through BSF over the past eight months:

  • Whenever God removes something from my life or closes a door, He is faithful to replace it with something far better.
  • Because of God’s faithfulness and provision in the past and present, I can trust that He will be faithful in the future.
  • God is with me in seasons of waiting, and even when it doesn’t seem like anything is happening, He is always at work behind the scenes.

April 2019 was definitely a memorable month with some enjoyable things. What are some of your April 2019 favorites? I’d love to hear!

As always, thanks for reading! If you enjoyed this post, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. You can also go to my homepage and subscribe to my blog.
