Happy Monday y’all! Is it just me, or did the weekend go by wayyy too quickly? I didn’t get nearly as much done on my to-do as I had hoped, but such is life. Anyways, in case you didn’t know, it is officially Mickey Mouse’s birthday week, and it’s a big one for him. He’s turning 90! Although Mickey’s actual birthday isn’t until November 18, I’m getting the party started a bit early here. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite Mickey things, plus a roundup of some fun Mickey Mouse items currently available. I remember my first trip to Disney World coincided with Mickey’s 60th birthday celebration. It’s hard to believe we are now celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse!

My Mickey Favorites
I love Mickey paraphernalia because it lets me incorporate a touch of Disney into my everyday life, even when I’m nowhere near Disney World.
I got this classic Mickey Mouse fitted v-neck tee with the Walt Disney World logo during my 2015 Disney World trip, and it’s such a great reminder of that vacation. You can see some additional pictures of how I styled it in this post. ShopDisney online currently has an almost identical version of this shirt in a darker blue, as well as gray. (PS. You can shop my Minnie Mouse pendant here.)
This flowy tee with vintage Mickey & Minnie art is from the Minnie Rocks the Dots collection that Lauren Conrad did for Kohl’s a couple years ago. Although this particular tee is no longer available, I’m including a couple other cute Mickey tees from Kohl’s in my roundup later on in this post. You can see some additional styling pictures of this tee in this post.
I also love this Mickey Mouse pullover I got at the Gap last year. Wish they had a similar one this year. But Gap frequently does Disney collaborations, so if I find something similar in the future I will be sure to share.
So Nabisco has really missed the mark with some of their special Oreo flavors. Like, I love watermelon, but that flavor does not belong in Oreos. Just no! However, they nailed it with their Birthday Cake Flavor Creme Mickey Mouse Oreos to celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse. The Oreos have three different designs on them-the Mickey head pictured, a “90”, and a party hat! My Target (talking like I own the place-ha!) still has them in stock. So y’all should head to your nearest grocery store ASAP and grab some.
Last but not least, nothing Mickey-related beats meeting the main Mouse himself at the most magical place on earth! This photo is from Mickey’s meet & greet at Epcot during my most recent trip to Disney World. If you’re planning a trip to Disney soon, you can buy my classic red & black sequin ears here. Also, if you post a picture of your Mouse Ears on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with hashtag #shareyourears between now and November 17, Disney will donate $5 to Make a Wish!

Cheers to 90 Years of Mickey Mouse
Hope y’all enjoyed this post and thanks for reading. One final reason I love Mickey Mouse is that he is symbolic of perseverance. Walt Disney faced financial hardships and roadblocks during his early career. He could have been discouraged and given up. Instead, he kept pursuing his passion. Then in 1928, Mickey Mouse took off with the success of Steamboat Willie. As we know, the rest is history!
What are some of your favorite Mickey moments? Have you ever met him at a Disney park?
-xoxo Liz
