Hey y’all! Hope that you had a lovely Easter and a good Monday. My office was closed today, and then I’m taking a vacation day tomorrow to give myself an extra day. I don’t have any big plans, but I’ve been using this long weekend as a self-care staycation. Yesterday I had nice and relaxing Easter Sunday. I absolutely love everything about Easter. As a Christian, Easter is extremely special, because it celebrates Jesus’ resurrection and the empty tomb that changed everything. Because Jesus died for my sins and defeated death with His resurrection, I get to enjoy eternal life with Him. In addition, I love Easter because it’s the perfect day to break out a bright Lilly dress, and it marks the beginning of seersucker season. So in today’s post I’m going to share details about what I wore for Easter 2019!

A little disclaimer- I actually shot these photos a couple weeks ago with Amelia Cassar Photography. I wanted to have some professional photos in my newest Lilly dress. Plus. Easter Sunday is extremely busy between services at the campus of my large church, so there really wasn’t much time to mill around and take pictures. Therefore, it worked out well that I already had these Easter-themed pics from Amelia.  I did wear this exact same outfit to church yesterday. However, I’m sharing all of this to let you know that many things you see on blogs and Instagram are curated, as opposed to shot in the moment. Therefore, DO NOT compare your life to someone else’s online profile!

Lilly Pulitzer Shift- Mila Dress in “On Parade”

Lilly Pulitzer Easter Dress

For Easter 2019, I wore my Lilly Pulitzer Mila Shift Dress in the “On Parade” print. This shift was my one clothing purchase from the January After Party Sale, and I’m so glad to finally be able to wear it. I thought that Easter Sunday was the perfect day to wear this dress for the first time, aside from a photo shoot. “On Parade” is one of my all-time favorite Lilly prints, because I love that it features lots of animals, particularly elephants and giraffes. I bought a V-neck top in “On Parade” last summer, and then last month bought a couple Lilly for Pottery Barn items in “On Parade.” I’m glad that I held off on the dress, and was able to get it for a great price during the After Party Sale. Here’s a close-up of the “On Parade” print detail:

Back Details

Aside from the colorful prints, I love that Lilly Pulitzer dresses have little details that add an extra touch. My Mila Shift Dress in “On Parade” has an exposed zipper in the back. White appliqué trim surrounds the exposed zipper for a little extra pizazz.

Accessories & Shoes

I accessorized my “On Parade” Lilly shift with simple and dainty jewelry: a Kendra Scott Elisa pendant, simple pearl studs, and my Kendra Scott Elaina bracelet.

The Kendra Scott Elisa pendant I’m wearing is the one I recently made at the Color Bar using my birthday discount. You can customize your own online here. I chose the gold setting and Skye Blue Illusion stone. My pearl studs are from a jewelry boutique, and I’ve actually had them for a few years. I found a similar pair online from Ann Taylor though. My Kendra Scott Elaina bracelet is a closet staple, and you can find it here.

For my shoes, I wore my classic platinum Jack Rogers. You can shop all Jack Rogers here.

Other Lilly Dress Options

As I mentioned earlier in this post, my Lilly Pulitzer Mila Shift in “On Parade” was a purchase from the January After Party Sale, so it’s no longer available on the Lilly website. However, the Mila Shift is currently available in another print here. For more of my favorite printed Lilly dresses that are currently available, check out this post.

I hope that y’all enjoyed seeing how I styled a classic printed Lilly Pulitzer shift for Easter. I really can’t get enough of “On Parade.” What did you do to celebrate Easter this year, and what did you wear? Easter may not get as much recognition in our culture with respect to a whole month of festivities the way that Christmas does. But it’s just as important, because it’s a day to celebrate the hope we have because of Jesus!
