15 Items to Get at Trader Joe’s

Hi y’all! I’m thrilled to have the day off today. Can every week have a three-day weekend?! Anyways, over the past few months, I’ve started going to Trader Joe’s a bit more frequently. Although I still only go about once every six weeks, this is more frequent than I used to go. There’s a Trader Joe’s not too far from me, but the traffic flow in the shopping center where it’s located is super congested. Thus, it’s not practical for me to go weekly, or even every other week. I reserve trips for when I’m going to be in the area for another errand, or during less crowded times. However, I really enjoy the things that I have gotten at Trader Joe’s my last few trips, so want to share them with y’all! Here are my recommendations for 15 items to get at Trader Joe’s:

(Note that these are in no particular order)

1. K-Cups

Trader Joe's K-Cups

I’ve gotten an assortment of regular and decaf K-Cups during my last couple visits to Trader Joe’s. It’s $4.99 for 12 K-Cups in a pack, which is slightly less cost per cup than the brands I buy at Target. Also, these K-Cups have less plastic, which is a little better for the environment. I also feel better about less plastic material potentially seeping into my coffee while it brews.

2. Roasted Gorgonzola Oven Crisp Crackers

Trader Joe's Roasted Gorgonzola Crackers

I actually bought these on a whim during my last trip to Trader Joe’s just over a week ago. For only $2.29 a box, I figured it was worth trying them. They are delicious, and I will definitely buy them again.

3. Triple Ginger Snaps

Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Snaps

These have a very rich ginger taste, combining crystallized ginger, ginger puree, and ground ginger. They are available year-round, but I especially enjoy them during the holidays.

4. Baked Cheese Crunchies

Trader Joe's Baked Cheese Crunchies

I’m honestly not sure how much healthier these are than Crunchy Cheetos. However, they are only $1.99 a bag. And everything can be part of a healthy diet in moderation!

5. Honey-Roasted Peanuts

Trader Joe's Honey Roasted Peanuts

I love honey-roasted peanuts as a high-protein snack. In addition, I like to put them on salads. This bag from Trader Joe’s is $2.99 for 16 ounces, which is one of the most cost-effective varieties I can recall. They also taste the best. I like them better than Planter’s or any of the other store brands near me. I used to love Kroger brand honey-roasted peanuts, but haven’t been able to get them ever since all the Krogers near me went out of business 18 months ago. The Trader Joe’s honey-roasted peanuts taste just as good fi not better than I can remember the Kroger ones tasting!

6. Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Trader Joe's Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

These mini crunchy chocolate chip cookies are great if you want just a little taste of something sweet. They’re also great for having on hand for parties and get-togethers.

7. Fruit-Flavored Cereal Bars

Trader Joe's Fruit Cereal Bars

These are basically the Trader Joe’s version of Nutri Grain Bars, and they are so delicious. I especially love the pumpkin flavor available in the fall, but the strawberry and blueberry options are great alternatives during other parts of the year!

8. Chocolate Cats Cookies for People

Trader Joe's Cats Cookies for People

I have been getting these Cats Cookies for People at Trader Joe’s for awhile now. They used to have a cinnamon flavor and ginger flavor, but the past couple times I’ve just seen the chocolate. These taste like a cross between chocolate Teddy Grahams and animal crackers! And of course, I love cats, so the shapes are adorable!

9. Reduced Fat Cheese Puffs

Trader Joe's Reduced Fat Cheese Puffs

These Trader Joe’s Reduced Fat Cheese Puffs are a healthier alternative to puffed Cheetos. They don’t sacrifice taste though, and a bag is only $1.99. I definitely recommend!

10. Turkey Corn Dogs

Trader Joe's Turkey Corn Dogs

The Turkey Corn Dogs are one of my absolute favorite Trader Joe’s finds! They are a delicious lower calorie alternative to regular corn dogs. Pairing one of these turkey corn dogs with oven baked fries, fruit, and a side salad is a healthier way to enjoy some all-American comfort food.

11. Mini Chicken Tacos

Trader Joe's Mini Chicken Tacos

I actually just ate some of these Mini Chicken Tacos for dinner. They only take 6-8 minutes in the oven, and I paired with salad, carrots, grapes, pimiento cheese, and a little chips and salsa. These would also make a great appetizer if you’re having people over.

12. Reduced Guilt Mac & Cheese Frozen Dinner

Trader Joe's Reduced Guilt Mac & Cheese

This single-serve macaroni & cheese frozen meal makes a great quick & easy dinner option paired with fruit or a side salad. While I think I might like the Lean Cuisine Mac & cheese better, it’s still worth picking up the Trader Joe’s version.

13. Black Bean & Cheese Taiquitos

Trader Joe's Bean & Cheese Taquitos

The Black Bean & Cheese Taiquitos are another delicious frozen Mexican food option I enjoy from Trader Joe’s! These also pair well with salad, fruit, and chips/salsa for a quick and easy meal.

14. Simpler Wines

Trader Joe's Simpler Wines

Angela from The Thrifty Pineapple recommended these canned wines from Trader Joe’s on her Instagram stories last summer. I finally got around to trying them this past fall. I’m not a big wine drinker at all, but I do like wines that are sweet and fizzy. The Trader Joe’s Simpler Wines check both those boxes. I’ve had both the Rose and Peach flavors. Both are good, but the Rose is my favorite. These cans are great for taking down to the pool or beach during the summer as well.

15. Kettle Corn

Trader Joe's Kettle Corn

Last but not least, I have been getting this sweet and salty kettle corn on my Trader Joe’s runs for awhile now. It’s only $1.99 a bag, and is a relatively healthy and satisfying snack!

I’ll have to add those gorgonzola crackers to my shopping list for the next time I go! I usually go to Trader Joe’s once a month and visit regular grocery stores other weeks. A few items that are my favorites are the herbed popcorn, Brioche bread, and the refrigerator cinnamon rolls (SO much better than Pillsbury!)
